Karen brady as a business advisor. fuck off. mind you none of those people on there look like they could hold down a job without someone punching them.... the bloke that got sacked being a case in point.

Can’t believe I’m responding to an x-factor thread, I reckon wor cheryl’s lost it completely. She looks fragile and clearly is not the brightest person. I have never seen a full x-factor because I hate all the crocodile tears, the bullshit and the monotonous dull songs these people murder…. My new flatmate loves it however, so I get to hear all this crap… its also all over the news. I ask you, the however many million viewers of this absolute shit, is there not anything better on….

he's clearly not all there then. its a very good phone.

But then other people have complained that there wasn't enough of the good humour we saw in the film and that it was too dark. You can't please all of the people all of the time. I don't think you needed to spend more time with Combo, because all his history was given to you in the film. I only caught up with the last episode last night and thought it was excellent. I don't think lack of clarity/explanation is any sort criticism, because any question raised can be answered by implication. How did combo turn up at Shaun's new house? Pissed up as he was, you'd guess he's been in the pub all night chatting to locals about who in the area has been up to what. Why does it even matter though? Before Lol was told about the rape the sound cut out and it went into a brilliant music montage. We weren't explicitly shown how Lol found out, but it was clear that Trev told her the full story. Watching Trev telling the explicit story wouldn't have served the show as much as that montage did. Simililarly, seeing Combo getting pissed up with characters we don't know and all the chats he'd had that night (rather than go and see his dying mum, because he was too scared ) would have added nothing, other than a contrived exposition scene. Just knowing he couldn't face it and that he needed the 12 year old kid he left behind to hold his hand through it was perfect as far as I'm concerned. If you're led through this stuff by the nose then it's no better than Hollyoaks. Not convinced personally. Seems to have been quite marmite this series. I think HF has nailed it. I also notice the 2 more gritty episodes (3+4) were directed by meadows. they certainly were the better ones for me at least.

Etheringtons a good player but seems to have been on the take for a number of seasons because of his gambling.... seems stoke gave him a new contract fairly recently and he had to take some money up front. (not fit to tie beardo's laces btw as a footballer)

eh. yes he's been good so far. -
the inter side that mancini won titles with often employed 2 or 3 out and out defensive midfielders. ugly football was the norm. i don't see it changing. as for City winning the title, well, they've suffocated chelsea ( who with the exception of Ramires, Essien and Alex look like a side that will be on the downturn in the next 3 years without significant re-investment), and took liverpool apart, but have struggled against the mackems amongst others. I really don't think they have enough backbone, and with legendary trouble makers like toure and adebayor in their side, they won't have the required personalities to win the title. They do however have a really excellent squad. stifled by the managers 4-3-2-1 line up.

when he goes to barca, well thats it... you'll never see the ball if they play you!
-
Classic example of a player being slightly too good for the championship and not good enough for the prem. now that Ben Arfa is out for 4-6 months ( i'm guessing), we need another option. he's just not good enough at this level.

different lead (who by anyones admission was a total fuck up because of her dad). a bit too dark for some but i found it in some places a difficult but good watch.
-
we'll get out of their with a point.... but we'll have to play at 110% to do it.

spend too much and get pissed. thats what i do every year.

was truly grim last night, the loose ends were tied up quite well though. so the next one will be this is england 90? overall it did keep me on the edge of my seat last night though there were some bits i really did not like at all.... the acting by the leading lady was very good. Don't think enjoyable is the right word though. looking forward to the dvd
