looks better than northern rock eh? -
and became an integral part of a top 6 side. i think we got, not what he's worth but what he will be worth... if we get 10 mil...

Really good idea Stevie. do it as a pre season tournament, proceeds to his charity ( or at least a decent cut).
-
wouldn't last 5 minutes in the modern game. too slow. All players are presumed to be at the peak of their powers... Shilton Woodgate Pearce Walker Figo Gascoigne Guardiola Bryan Robson Beardsley Romario Ronaldo this team would be shit in the air going forward, but both forwards at their peak would cause havoc.....

Bassong and Taylor should have been the cornerstone of our premiership defence for many years. I have to say totally agree with you here. Cant see it now to be honest he'll be gone. I think with a couple of seasons together they would of been solid really. taylor is far too error prone... !

9 million for a player that can kick a ball very hard and run very fast. not bad.

RIP. our last really great manager and successful pretty much wherever he went. a fine footballer too. beat cancer several times and has always been an inspiration to me.

A serious question - not an attempted "wind up"!

some of us on here ight want to look behind the scenes a bit. if the team of shearer and dowie coe onboard, we should be prepared for a team that will play not neccasarily to win but to avoid defeats. ask qpr and charlton fans about dowie and whilst his record (considering the players they had at both places at the time) wasn't exactly abject, it could have been a whole lot better. I definitely don't think shearer is the golden goose. he needs time to learn and a squad equipped for a long slog.... -
in one word... yes. at least by the looks of it.
-
both Cliche-tastic Non Journalists. absolutely shit.
-
proper club. fantastic ideas both, but fosters one gets my approval. He is a truly great designer, no?
-
rip. was supposed to be a very promising driver....
-
not good enough for arsenal. he'll be a benchwarmer in serie a or a lower echelon premier league side.
-
so the one to go for is pro if you run lotsa xp apps. not bad i guess..
-
big if tom. they don't know their arse from their elbow at the top of this club and the knee jerk appointments that got us relegated were not good enough.
-
anyone use this for any audio work. i'm looking to upgrade my xp box...
-
wasn't his record for us blighted by the fact he just never scored against any of the top 4 sides? sounds about right.... i also reckon he'll be there as a supersub or if games are tight. still a good ish finisher.
-
like face fucking a cheesegrater....
-
Keegan? Shearer? Though he has gone on to fuck over both men. keegan did well to save us from relegation. shearer, for me the jury is out on him.... so far. if we get bought out and he gets us promoted then i'll be glad of him ( of course!) ashleys just a fat bully boy in any case.

a bit. yep.... Ashley has never installed anyone of any competence at the club, with the possible exception of chris mort.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/ju...mbargo-takeover Newcastle United are doing nothing to reduce their £65m annual wage bill and have taken the extraordinary step of placing an embargo on any transfers until the managerless Championship club is sold. Considering that sources close to on-going efforts to sell Newcastle have indicated that Mike Ashley, the owner, may not find a buyer this summer, this represents a high-risk strategy. Even if Ashley does succeed in this ambition, the most optimistic estimates gauge a takeover to be around a month away – in other words perilously close to the closure of the summer transfer window. "There will be no players coming or going until the takeover has been completed," said a senior Newcastle source. "There will not be a firesale and it is up to the new owners and manager to decide who comes and who goes. "The transfer market does not really get going until August and Newcastle will not be doing any business until a buyer has been found. It is all on hold." Alex Black, the agent of Alan Smith, who is coveted by Blackburn Rovers, has already experienced this policy in action. "Newcastle United have put a sort of embargo on players moving in or out of the club until the situation is resolved in terms of ownership," explained Black. "So what can you do until that is sorted out? It is in Newcastle's hands." Up to seven senior players are threatening to challenge this embargo by sumbitting written transfer requests early next week if Alan Shearer has not been installed as Newcastle's manager. Shearer remains "completely in the dark" about events at St James' Park and is deeply concerned that Newcastle are missing out on opportunities to both offload players unsuited to the rigours of the Championship and recruit those possessing the pace and toughness required during the impending campaign.
