  1. As this thread seems to be the one to request name change, can you change my name to "curry stained pilchard". No capitals thank you.
  2. ...this loon went mental! from .com... 1998 Bolton Wanderers (h) 2-1 Premier League Barnes, Ketsbaia 36,767 When Nathan Blake equalised for the visitors, the celebrations of the travelling fans were drowned out by the ovation that greeted Alan Shearer returning to the team as a substitute, former captain Peter Beardsley leading the applause. Shearer then headed the ball down for Ketsbaia to net a late winner, the Georgian celebrating as if possessed by demons, tossing his shirt into the Gallowgate end and kicking seven bells out an advertising hoarding. Bemused team mates eventually calmed him down long enough to play out the last few seconds.
  3. Aye, and taking his fucking hair gel and 80's haircut with him I can't see him leaving it behind tbh.
  4. Want to change your user name? ''Used to be Fat Boy'' ''Not So Fat Boy'' ''Recently Fat but not anymore boy'' Maybe just boy...
  5. I've lost a lot of weight since joining this forum...

  7. The Wombats' new album. Definate influences from The Futureheads and Bloc Party. Looking like a good band to finish off the year!
  8. Having wathched it this weekend I have to say I disagree. I love Eternal Sunshine. One of my all time favourite films, Block Party was fantastic too, I even liked Human Nature somewhat but I felt hugely let down By SOS. Michel Gondry can't write films, he has superb visual ideas, but when given free reign he's written a film to cater to his visuals, rather than creating visuals to cater to his film. It was willfully eccentric in a way that I depise (zany student shite) and for the first hour at least I was bored senseless, the last half hour started introducing some story ideas that might have been interesting (his psychotic tendencies, her lack of interest/distaste for him) but there was such an indistinct line drawn between dreams and reality up top that point that there wasn't a character you could trust as giving their own real point of view. Fair comment. I haven't seen Eternal Sunshine for a while, and maybe made the director link too great, but there were similarities... The point you made about there being an indistict line between dreams and reality became more and more blurred as the film went on, but that was the whole point of the film. For me, this type of film is one that you think about more when it's over, which I like. **spoiler** I also thought that the ending to the film was very clear that he was the only one in cuckoo land, which put a sad ending to the story. **spoiler end**
  9. Nice one! Yeah, Subway Art is the "bible" of graffiti. You might also want to check out 'Spraycan Art'. Similar book by the same author but early graffiti from around the world...
  10. Happy belated birthday...
  11. The Science of Sleep Directed/written by Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind). Story of Stephane (Gael GarcĂa Bernal) who mixes real life with dreams. Very much like Eterenal Sunshine in the way it's surreal story telling, but not confusing. Very deep film with stop/start animation that makes you smile. If you liked Eternal Sunshine, you'll love this. Style Wars Had this for years and watched it many times, but after watching Dark Days decided to watch it again... Documentary from 1983 following the graffiti/hip hop of the seventies/eighties. Dark Days obviously chose to document in a similar way to Style Wars as can be seen with the many interviews of writers from New York. Excellent footage of grey heavy clunking trains being brightened up by graffiti.
  12. Bought on eBay from your recommendation What really puts it into perspective is shown in the "making of" extra on the dvd. About 45 mins of how Marc Singer pulled together the film, beg, stole borrowed etc. The "life after the tunnel" is also an emotional set of write-ups of each of the homeless. Top dvd
  13. A few "what's this?" jokes... - Make a circle with your index finger and your thumb and growl - A vicious circle - Hold your wrist out and grip it with your other hand twisting it (like a half "chinese-burn") and say brum brum - A motorist - Hold your wrist out and say boo - A terrorist
  14. Half Time = 1-0 Full Time = 2-1 First Scorer = Owen Bonus = 78 mins
