Aye but presently you don't have to be a member to buy tickets. You don't have to at any other club either as far as I'm aware. It just gives you priority (after season ticket holders),can't see that changing either.

Current phone has 3.2MP camera, photos taken on it look terrible compared to my ancient 2MP camera. Phones always have crap lenses so the photos will always look shoddy compared to a real camera. Only good for drunken photos or when you want to get information off a PC screen and can't find a pen...

That and faster internet. Thats the only difference, only really worth while on blackberry type phones imo.

I've got that. Lovely phone, only two complaints. The ring tone is a bit tinny, and it's 3G. Seems like a lot of wasted functionality since O2 don't offer it as far as I am aware though. I'm not changing from S-E again mind, certainly not to Motorola. My last RAZR was nothing but hassle. O2 do do 3G, you just need to get a 3g sim card to use it. Phone 202 and they'll send you one out. I've got the k800i, best phone I've ever had, its a bit old mind, due a new one in november. If you are already on a contract remember to phone up and upgrade that way, you get much better deals. I got half price line rental for 12months and 500 extra texts for free. Down here I automatically got a new sim card from O2 with my W880i. Perfect phone imho. I'm still only on the 2G one, the upgrade sounded alot like hassle since it involved getting a new number then having to get my current number transferred to the new sim. I don't use the net on my phone for anything other then checking football scores when i'm out some place so i don't need the 3g anyway...

The statement doesn't really make much difference, unless its an uber competitive course (or Oxbridge). If you get the grades you won't have a problem. Having said that put just follow the above cliches and you'll be fine. Best Uni's in the North East solely on reputation are Durham and Newcastle, although the others may be good on certain courses. Do a little research on the course you want to do with the guardian or times uni guides and that tells you the best for them.

I used to get things like that when I lived in Manchester. Made me laugh then too. Witchdoctors don't seem to have made it to Devon mind...

Still going to Iceland and Greenland 3 weeks until I leave. Been checking the weather in one of the places I'm going to in Greenland. Fog and -3C, could make the flight home interesting. Looking at a Japan/Korea thing for Around April next year, although it may be postponed until October depending on money, failing that its Armenia. No normal destinations for me!

whereas new pubs were opening up all over the place before the ban? Well for the people who wondered how the "lost" tobacco tax revenue would be replaced, i think we have found our answer... If you are going to defy the ban, surely its best not to publish the fact...

If the pub has a smokey atmosphere, then the staff should be provided with "danger money" to compensate them for the damage done to them. Thats the way it works in other industries!

Personally I like it where the council has surveyed for a gas risk (either explosive, poisioness or even in some cases radiation gas risks - the radioactive gas kills at least 2500 people a year from lung cancer in the UK - and on the whole much more likely and risky than 2ndry smoke) and then refuses to tell anyone living there because (not surprisingly) no one would want to live there and house prices in that area would crash. The radioactive gas you refer to is Radon, its exists where ever there is granite. It accounts for about 50% of the background radiation in the UK and WAS NOT what i was referring too. The figure i have given is for that directly from industry, power stations, Sellafield etc. Additionally when you buy a house you can do a Radon survey which tells if its there or not. So its only if you live in rented accommodation that you wouldn't know and even then your landlord will. But the only places at any substantial risk of this in the UK are Devon/Cornwall and Aberdeen. The comparison i was making was between the risk that the nuclear industry can do without other peoples consent and second hand smoke (which generally is without peoples consent).
-
Just to raise a different comparison, the maximum dose of radiation that the HSE deems acceptable for the general public to exposed to is 20uSv per year. This level increases the risk of cancer by 0.00012% (and is 135 times smaller then the UK average background radiation level). I don't have any figures for second hand smoke but I'd expect that it increases the risk of cancer by more then that amount.

Ahh, my home city, the place where toddlers fight and gingers get compo! I just don't understand why it was getting slated in other threads...

I currently work as a refueler for the British nuclear submarines.

You can only do that once every 3 years instead of getting the points. If you haven't done it before you should be ok to get it....

On expenses? Just grab a black cab... Remember a receipt too. Although it is worth checking how much you'd get for driving it as thats often more then public transport expenses. On my interview in plymouth flights and taxis: £150 Driving: £270

I think its that they both play in the same position, and if parker doesn't go we won't need barton. Actually half hope parker stays, signing barton is just asking for trouble.

2meg unlimited £10 month. Can't argue with that for value. On virgin media. I've no need for any more speed, this connection is faster then the 8meg i had on plusnet which just seems a bit wrong, i also paid 3x more for that then i do for this (when you include line rental).

Yeh, also a shame theres only 2 more episodes. Loved the trampoline construction scene, that was unintentional comic genius. I'm thinking Lohit is going to win now.
