  1. I haven't paid much attention but the 3 times I have, I've noticed Cabaye has not started games, coming on in the 2nd half. I wonder if that's bothering him any.
  2. Head case. Nut case. Listening to Pardew's interview was another pathetic attempt at glossing over his faults. "Pushing him away with my head" is a pitiful way of trying to excuse trying to stick the nut in. In my opinion he should be sacked. We don't need a manager who blatantly tries to give a Newcastle kiss to an opposing player who gives him a push. Not acceptable behavior in front of 25,000 or so people in the Stadium and who knows how many viewers world-wide. Might be alright in the Bigg Market but not where he did it.
  3. Not what you would call a stellar performance but certainly a well deserved win. Too bad De Jong didn't get on the scoreboard. Must say I'm surprised we won and certainly by the score line.
  4. BenArfa, Santon, Sammy, not on the bench. Are all three injured or am I missing something.
  5. Well that stoppage-time goal by Remy might well have saved Pardew's job. I'm sure leaving Cisse on so long was part of some grand plan. I fully expected De Yong to stat with Remy. Dummet did alright but wasn't too impressive. Thank whoever, that we didn't lose another one at home.
  6. If we don't win this one and lose another home game, it is my considered opinion that Pardew must go either by immediate resignation or immediate sacking. If he can't manage a win at home against Villa then it's will be obvious that him staying will be a waste of time. With all due respect I hope he can get the win we so badly want and need.
  7. Is Pardew a catholic? I hear he's been seeing Father Doon.
  8. That was painful, very painful. If DeJong was injured then fair enough if that's why he was pulled. If not, then Pardew should be hung by his cock from Gray's monument for leaving Cisse on for 90 minutes. Having Cisse on the pitch was like Tottenham having an extra man or us being a man short. At least Pardew got it right with Santon who was giving a nightmare performance as a defender. I was surprised to see Debuchy and Guffran start, made me think we could make a game of this with them back. BenArfa did absolutely fuck-all while he was on. I believe it is time for Pardew to quit or be sacked as he obviously has no motivational powers, and is not good enough to move us forward. It is no use claiming loss of Cabaye, loss to injuries etc etc. We have lost to poorer teams than us when we have been at full strength.
  9. MoM, Marveaux!! MESSED up and nearly gifted them a goal. MISSED the best chance to score. Decent performance overall, certainly better than the last one. Number of chances but lacked the finishing touches. De Jong showed promise but got little service. Sad about BenArfree, has so much talent but not living up to expectations. Sammy did alright but he's a bit wild with his chances. Some time ago I suggested Santon should be tried at left half. Sissoko played well but was a little anonymous in the second half.
  10. Mr. McFaul, I think we are 10 points above 10th place, not a dozen as you posted.
  11. Typical Pardew brown-nose - arse licking comment. Would help if he pointed out just what good work did Kinnear do in 7 months besides getting 2 loan players.
  12. Perhaps this was a pre-arranged decision between Ashley and Kinnear. Get us through 2 windows without signing anyone Joe, and then you can go. Job done.
  13. I've often criticized Pardew's use of substitutes and I have voice it once again. Why would he put Marveaux on when we are behind. This is when you need a hard worker and potential goal scorer and Marveaux does not fit that classification. Against Norwich he played Haidara before Marveaux,, why not today. Should have had Santon off long before he did. Should not have left Shola on for 90 minutes.
  14. Instead of Marveaux, Pardew should have put Armstrong on. Isn't he a Geordie who would have given his life to beat the Mackems.
  15. OUT-PLAYED ........ OUT- FAUGHT ......OUT-MANAGED ........ OUT-SCORED. I was born after 1923 so this was a first for me, 3 in a row losses to the Mackems. FOR FUCKS SAKE!! I had a feeling of dread about the result of this match. We never looked like winning. Full marks to Pardew for his 3rd loss to Sunderland.
  16. Unless a miracle happens on Friday, full marks must go to our wheeler-dealer Joke Kinnear for reaching the heights once again by bringing aboard one solitary loan player. Let no one cast aspersions that our Director of Football is not one hell on wheels when it comes to ................... oh fuck!!
  17. Wots the problem with Gouffran? Is he injured? Will he be available Saturday? I think he might have made a difference in attack today.
  18. FFS. I'll settle for the point, but what a dismal result, and near the end we could have finished up with nowt. How in the fucking world can't we win games like this. How the fuck did BenArfa miss that sitter in the first half. That much possession in the first half should have resulted in goals.
  19. The word Loyalty seems to be taking a beating here, perhaps it's the wrong word. How about using the word Honour, like honouring a contact you signed in good faith with good intentions. Pretty obvious Cabaye was the one who wanted to be away and didn't want to honour the contract he signed. I'm sure the Club would have preferred him to stay but when you buy summat for 5 and can sell it for 20 it's a no brainer.
  20. Adieu mon ami, hope the grass is greener for you across the channel. Too bad loyalty can't compete with financial gains or ambitions. Cabaye's departure was inevitable, anyone could see that. Especially after his refusal to play when Arsenal placed a bid for him. I just hope his departure doesn't bring on a problem of poor morale in the dressing room and on the pitch.
  21. Second half was a bit of a nail-biter after Willo scored for them. It looked like they might just get a second one.
  22. In reality we had a fairly strong team out there today considering injuries and should have been able to hold onto the lead. I really have to question Pardew's use of Obertan ahead of Shola, Sammy, & Remy.
