Superb passing in our half of the field. Abysmal passing when in their half. Amoeba was a liability, should never have been on the pitch. He should have been taken off, not Gouffran. Remy was almost as anonymous as he was in the last match. BenArfa accomplished fuck-all when he came on. Absolutely no need for Debuchy to go in with two feet. Sissoko was poor. Other than the first 5 minutes we never looked like we could win it. We deserved to lose, the front line was toothless. Another game we should have won but didn't, but then we are Newcastle.

Too bad Remy's head shot didn't have better direction!! Sloppy goal robbed us of a point. Opportunities to even the score in the last 10 minutes were plentiful but no cigar. Fat lady was singing when they got that sloppy goal. Didn't think we would win but had high hopes for a draw.

I don't feel too optimistic about this one but my hopes are high seeing we are at home. I would start with:- Krul Debuchy - Willo - Colo - Santon Sissoko - Cabaye - Tiote BenArfa - Remy - Gouffran

I'm always happy when we get 3 points, but the way we got them today kinda takes the glow of. Stoke were leading 1 - 0 and were controlling the game and then they went to 10, then 9 men. Had they kept their strength at 11 we may have been looking at a result in their favour. Remy missing a penalty.....why did he take it? Haidara was abysmal at crossing the ball.

Happy with the 3 points but not %100 happy with 90 minute performance. Start of the second half we looked a bit dismal and scrappy. Remy didn't get much service but when he did he wasn't very effective today. I thought Anita was not at his best,, some of his passes were going astray. BenArfa certainly made an impact when he came on, I think he should have been on a bit earlier. I have to question Willo's effectiveness when he gets up front. He should have scored from Cabaye's rebound.

I fancy Fat Sam to be the next to get the chop, and the result of Wednesday's Spurs v West Ham game might be the final nail in the coffin.

Pardew got it WRONG!! When he took Amoeba off he should have put BenArfa on, not Cisse. In fact he should have put BenArfa on at halftime. I'll settle for the point but we should have had three. We dropped 2 points needlessly. Too bad Remy missed that sitter.

I could have done without watching that performance. I've never been one to advocate the long ball but in the first half it's what we should have done, hoofed it up to Remy & Shola. It was obvious we weren't going anywhere with the amount of passing and possession Swansea had. Typical Newcastle, exultation then deflation. Obertan ......for fucks sake.

Never saw Tony Green play. In his days with NUFC, what with my job and all, I didn't get home as often and when I did it was in the summer months with the kids. For the past 20 years I've got home more often on a regular basis and always come home in time for the first home game of the season. From all I've heard, Tony Green was one canny player.

My concern about BenArfa is that he may become a bit of a problem child like he was at his former club. Being dropped is one thing but seeing the likes of Shola and Obertan getting playing time while you're rooted to the bench has got to mentally be upsetting. On the other hand, I can't see why Pardew did that, neither Shola or Obertan are game changers and not in the same class as BenArfa. And certainly not players to put in when you want to hold on to a lead.

Another heartbreaker, but not this time because of a dismal display. We played well with a couple of players who didn't earn their pay. Ameobe & Cisse were like two damp squibs on bonfire night. They couldn't strike a Swan Vesta. We should have had the game won in the first half if they hadn't been so useless. Anita put in a good shift and produced some good football. Gouffran was more like what we expect from him, worked his arse off. Can't fault anyone really except our two dud strikers.

They out-faught us, out-played us, & out-scored us. We got exactly what we deserved. Putting Cisse on was like playing with 10 men. He was like a passenger who couldn't find his bus fare. Pointless to find anything good about this performance, we were but a shadow of the team of last week. Nothing exceeds the disappointment of losing to the Mackems.
