Aa Kinhear the soond of footsteps gannin oot but nen coming in. I hear Hull are signing a 6ft striker age 25. Yannick Sagbo. I hear Sheffield Wed. are signing a 6ft-6 striker age 23. Atdhe Nuhiu.

Not a lot of inspiration in that match was there. I dread the Man, City game after that display. We looked a bit better after BenAfree and that other bloke left the field.
-
Am I right in believing that we are the only premier league team who have not as yet signed anyone for the 1st team squad?
-
His continuing actions pretty well establish him as being a hopeless case. Hopeless or not I can't really turn my back on him although I'm about all out of sympathy for his destructive mode he lapses into far too often.

I consider Pardieu to be an Ashley yes-man and I think he will roll with the punches to preserve his employment until his ego and pride are damaged to the extent where he can't handle it any further and will probably leave by mutual ageement or be sacked because he's tired of being a yes-man. I think the bringing back of Kinnear is an omen of approaching disaster for many but I hope i'm wrong.
-
WISE up lads, ye KINHEAR the talk aroond the Toon. There's no doubt it's another Ashley masterstroke.

I agree with that, and I wonder how many on the forum were alive in 1966.

As expected we lost, but at least we had a decent game and didn't get hammered. The game was there to be won but we just weren't up to it. Too many missed opportunities, too many bad passes. BenArfa is very good but gives up the ball too often in trying to do too much. Mbiwa looked good at right back today. Pardew v Hughton? well Norwich ended the season with a bang and finished 11th. Debuchy v Simpson? neither one seem to be able to put in good crosses. Not a bad game to watch which is more than I can say for many of the others I've suffered through this season thanks to Pardieu. Roll on next season ....... if I'm still above ground.

I don't know why I didn't note this before, but why did Pardieu bring on Gosling rather than Anita. Won't mention his bringing on of Amoeba.

Can't help but think that Wigan will beat Swansea and if so, by Tuesday night we'll be in the bottom 3. If we don't beat QPR at the weekend we will more than likely stay there as I can't see us getting anything against Arsenal(I hope I'm wrong). All the other teams in the relegation zone have as many or more points and are ahead of us on goal difference. It's up to us to beat QPR or it's adios to the Premier league, and if so, I hope it's adieu to Pardieu as we have enough talented players in the squad but he doesn't seem to be able to get them to perform as a winning team. Unless I'm wrong, Santon, Marveaux, and perhaps Haidara & Sissoko, will be the only ones unavailable against QPR. Debuchy would only have got 1 game suspension so he will be available. Colo is back and looked good.
-
Well they didn't get beat Tom, and they're above us again with a draw due to our appalling goal difference.
-
S for Stoke & S for Shite. Can't remember seeing a Premier league team play so crappy against 10 men, it looked like Blunderland had the extra man.
-
If Blunderland beat Stoke today it could move them up into 11th spot. If they draw they will move above us.
-
Hoo - fucking - ray. Never expected anything from this match.
-
If we don't beat QPR then we deserve to go down with them.
-
Fact is; our safety may well depend on Wigan NOT getting 5 points from their last 4 games, but if they do, not bettering the goal difference which at the moment is equal at -23. Like most, I can only see us getting something from the QPR match but it's not something I would bet on.
-
Who'd have thought Villa would have hammered Blunderland 6 - 1, moving them above us on goal difference and dropping us further down the table. It's looking gloomier now.
-
So, who is Pardieu gonna put at right-back? Will he start BenArfa? If so who will he drop? Will he start Colo? If so who will he drop?
-
Mon Dieu Pardieu, make big boo-boo. Sissoko is not a right-sided player, and you should have started BenArfa.
-
Rumour has it that Hannibal Suarez has an established taste for French cuisine so there was much trepidation among Le Toon's grenouille players, but now there are sighs of relief that le Biter will not be dining at St. James Park this weekend.

I see Norwich, Stoke, & Blunderland have now moved above us and we are down in 16th place,, brilliant.
-
First half it looked like we could bag the 3 points, Cisse should have made it 2 - 0. Second half it looked like we would come away with no points, I'm happy with the one point. I'm back to criticising Pardieu's substitutions. He should have replaced Gouffran with BenArfa not Amoeba. 13 minutes is not enough time for BenArfa to make his presence known. Pathetic 2nd half and I felt sure we were going to lose it. Cisse was a bit of a liability. Sissoko is good but he keeps hoofing the ball to nobody.

To be a Newcastle supporter you have to be steadfast and a glutton for punishment ............ yeah, I'll be watching it at 7 o'clock in the morning.
-
I'm not happy with the situation we are now in due to our poor performences, especially against Blunderland, and to be honest I think our safety will be dependent more on the teams below us losing rather than us gaining points from our remaining games.
-
Haidara was on the bench ..... he played well against Benfica at left-back ........ why did Jonas start at left-back?
