I'm concerned that Janmaat may not be available after coming off against West Ham. We don't have another right back that I'm aware of that can fill his position. Tiote left the game too but I'm hoping that wasn't because of an injury that would make him unavailable. I'm concerned that Pardew will get it wrong again like he did against West Ham. Dropping Cabella and starting Gouffran was typical Pardew stupidity.

Our sudden rise into 5th was dramatic. Our sudden fall into 9th was pathetic. Some consolation in that Carroll & Nolan didn't score.
-
Based on who was available today, against Burnley I would go with..................unless there is more injuries ................................Eliot ......Janmaat - Saylor - Dummett - Haidara ..........Cabella - Anita - Tiote - Ameobe .........................Perez - Cisse Hopefully other players in training may be available on Tuesday.

Bubble burst. Why did Pardew start Gouffran instead of Cabella who had a decent last outing. Why did he start Willo instead of Saylor. Perez is good but not as a lone striker. Lost the winnable game..........and Sissoko. Shite!
-
I might be coming home for a spell in 2015, should I bring me boots? Aye, an' aa'd play fer nowt like.
-
4th place!! but that could change by this evening. Considering we had a weakened team it was a great win. The SS was at it again, Super Sissoko. Always have to have a criticism about Pardew. I thought Cabella was having a decent game so he should have taken Gouffran off to make way for Cisse. In fact I wouldn't have made way for Cisse. Perez is certainly lively and I think we can expect more from him in future games. Sad about Raylor beaking down in his first start after being out for so long.

I'm old school, very old. Still refer to Germans as Krauts, Italians as Wops, French as Frogs, Welsh as Dafodils, Scots as Haggis-heads, Irish as Micks, Mexicans as Beaners, etc etc. Mind you it's always in my mind and rarely spoken. In old South Africa, Blacks were blacks, and Indians etc were coloureds. I didn't know I was Caucasion until I arrived in America, thought I was white.

With Colo, Abeid, Tiote, Aarons missing, and possibly Saylor, combined with Pardew's often questionable starting line-ups, I've got bad feelings about getting a win against 'arry & Barton. Has Raylor ever been tried at centre-back, I know he's played both full-back positions.

Did she say NO? that seems to be a criteria for rape. In no way do I condone what Evans did but it seems to me that he is not the typical rapest unless he has a prior record of sexual abuse. Seems to me he saw the opportunity of having sex with a drunken woman his mate had brought in, went for it and got himself into a hole he had trouble getting out of.
-
How many soccer players have been accused of rape? How many have been convicted? How many have spent time inside? How many have been crucified by the media? How many have been crucified by the public? Surely if you do the crime, and serve the time, you should be able to pick up the pieces and get on with your life as best you can.

Len White was another of those gifted players who should have been capped for England, but he played in an era when good players in the North East were generally ignored by the English selectors. He spent quite a bit of time overshadowed by wor Jackie but racked up a goodly amount of goals during his tenure with Newcastle.
-
Check him out. Len White.

If and when Tiote is fit and available, I wonder if Pardew will automatically put him in the starting line-up. If he does, I wonder who will be sacrificed to make room for him, Abeid? Colback? certainly not Sissoko. With Cabella being dropped from France's national team obviously because of Pardew benching him, I'm sure he will want more playing time to re-install himself. Pardew needs to persevere with him, play him in his best position, and not having him end up another loan player like Mbiwa and BenArfa. He has talent, we know that, and it needs time to be brought out on the pitch, not on the bench. Perez certainly looks a better prospect than Riviere but he needs to have more balls played to him, but not long balls in the air, he's too lightweight for that. If Pardew plays him as a lone striker he may end up just as ineffectual, like Riviere.

Happy days are here.............

Has Pardew finally woke up on his substitutions? He had no choice with Obertan but Aarons was the right change to make. He apparently got it right by taking Cisse off and putting Perez in, Perez scored the winner. He was right to take Sammy off. Sammy had a lively first half and was causing the bin-dippers problems, he was just as lively in the second half but was trying too much, being selfish, accomplishing little, and was losing possession too easily. Janmaat is beginning to show why he plays for Holland. The pairing of Colo and Saylor appears to be much better than Colo and Willo. Dummett looked better and shut out Sterling for the most part. Where the fuck did Abeid come from? 2 strong games as a starter.
-
This is unreal. For fucks sake!
-
Frankly, when I saw the starting line-up I thought we were in for a hammering as City were at strength. Couldn't figure out why he started 2 left backs, Abeid, Armstrong, and Obertan but it worked for some reason. It was like watching old Newcastle full of fight and not taking prisoners.

Unfuckingbelievable! Absolutelyfuckingbrilliant! Aacannabelieveitappened!!

The (are we playing today?) match thread. Spurs v 'NUFC' 1.30 KO
Noelie replied to trophyshy's topic in Newcastle Forum
I've said before Perez should be given more playing time, he shows more potential than Riviere. Sissoko was like a 90 minute Sherman tank intent on causing damage. I've always said Saylor is better than Willo and I still say it. Obertan showed his true worth today, useless. Just a flash in the sky player. Unforeseeable win. -
Clarkie may be better than Pardew given the players we've got, but he may not be a big enough Yes-man to suit Ashley.
-
Yeah we won alright, but not with any brilliance, and we're still in the bottom three and with our next 2 games against Spurs & Liverpool I reckon we'll languish there for a while longer..........maybe a lot longer.
-
Other than his winning goal I thought Obertan was fairly useless throughout. Should have been a higher score had not Colo missed a sitter, plus Cisse's 2. I thought the back 4 looked steadier, but then I've always favoured Saylor over Willo. Can't believe Pardew has never given Perez more playing time, he has always looked competent and useful. Master stroke by Pardew, bringing Cabella on for 30 seconds. Still think Haidara would be better than Dummett. Thank heavens we finally won.
-
I just can't feel good about this one based on our ongoing winless streak and Leicester's form.
-
Talk about ugly ........ well talk about fat Sam who must be the ugliest looking manager in football.
-
I'd love to see Mbiwa excel at Roma and have a great loan spell with them, and do well for France. That goes for BenArfa at Hull too but maybe not as likely. If they do it will cement the fact that Pardew is clueless and far from being the professional manager he keeps claiming to be.
