Get in there, Nobby. Those two goals were for the clueless idiots who said that you were finished. -
Agree completely. The bit about the shortlist is worrying because it's in the Chronicle, i.e. Shepherd's mouthpiece. And if his shortlist really looks like that, he wants shooting. I wouldn't be surprised though if the main requirement for the new manager was a British passport. Utterly ludicrous. "Scouring the globe", my arse.

More obsessed than Leazes with Bellamy tbh.

Looks good this season from what I've seen of him on TV, but will always be overrated and hyped up simply because he's young and English.
-
Ditto. At least they didn't win.
-
What an idiot. But hey, the fact that he's an utterly incompetent, narrow-minded and clueless idiot doesn't make him a bad chairman.
-
Dyer, 1-0! Well done.
-
Very interesting read!
-
It will be a shame if he starts Chopra ahead of Luque. Perfect chance for Luque to get a goal and turn himself around.
-
Given that we all know the way Fat Fred goes about his job, I feel exactly the same.
-
Who's that in your avatar? Good luck with the job! 96057 Cheers mate. It's Emmerdale's Roxanne Pallett, see - http://www.toontastic.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=4022 96064 Very nice

England friendly coming up then?

It's all so predictable. And you know that if we finish the season strongly and do well next season, Souness will be given credit for "turning us around and laying new foundations". 95984 And rightly so. 95991 There is no need to hide behind irony.
-
I think we'll win comfortably. I hope Luque will at least get a place on the bench and a bit of playing time, and hopefully a first goal. It would be nice to actually have a few options up front.

Seeing as Oliver is the unofficial club mouthpiece, I'm horrified that he may be right and Fat Fred will once again demonstrate how utterly incompentent he is by choosing the next manager on the basis of nationality. The fact that Oliver as usual implies that Fat Fred will be right to do so makes me hate him even more.
-
Blackburn are 7th now and just one point off Arsenal who are 5th. If ever proof was needed that Souness is a shit manager who has now left three clubs in a much worse state than before, this is it (not that he was to blame for anything of course).
-
So, in this case, he doesn't have a point? 95276 Not in this particular case then, no.
-
He may be completely wrong about Parker, but he has a point when he says that a lot of people will be prepared to forgive certain types of player anything so long as they "give a 110%" and fly into every 50-50 tackle. Again though, that has nothing do with Parker because he's actually a very good footballer.
-
I've said this before, but I wouldn't be unhappy with Ranieri. He doesn't get enough credit for his time at Chelsea, especially when you think that he did well with them pre-Abramovich. Not my first choice (not even my third choice), but a hell of a lot better than all the usual British suspects combined (O'Neill and Allardyce excluded).

SOUNESS? IT'S SHEPHERD WHO SHOULD BE RUN OUT OF TO
Bombadil replied to adios's topic in Newcastle Forum
Part of why Shepherd is a shit chairman is because he undermines his managers by going out and buying players himself. Kluivert, Butt and possibly Viana are all players that were bought by Fat Fred, and Speed is an example of a player that was sold against his manager's wishes (same with Ferdinand if I remember correctly). I wouldn't be surprised if he had a big say in the Luque deal as well. He seems to think of himself as some kind of director of football when the truth is that he hasn't got a fucking clue. A good chairman lets his manager decide on the players he wants and then tries to make a deal with the club and the player. That's what his job should be.
