Just been to the local co-op and there was a woman in the queue behind me who had a kid of about 4 with her - his name was Tyrion Couldn't tell if he was a dwarf.

Incoming Trump appointee can cancel the investigation - he deserved to be sacked for the letter thing but that's just an excuse. This is interference - if no Republican challenges it, it's a disgrace.

On taxation, I think any changes even if I support them morally are pissing around the edges - I'd support going full on against avoidance and evasion especially offshore accounts.

They're going to have a lot of competition next season - Boro, hull/Swansea, 3 from 4 play-off teams, Leeds, Villa, Norwich, Preston, Brentford and maybe Forest, Sheff Utd and Birmingham. It'll be hard for them.

Bet365 tweeted that Villa had scored when Lansbury missed the sitter.

I'm disappointed Forest survived but that's slightly eased by Blackburn's fate - I still remember the Fenton game.

It's always about the games they show on sky - once they decided to concentrate on relegation we became bit part players.

I'm ridiculously happy given it wasn't supposed to matter.

It's that fucking 5 minutes added time against Leeds that's been bothering me lately.

There's a lot of anti-immigration sentiment in labour areas - as I said earlier and as HMHM said, encouraged massively by the press.

Anyone watching Pointless Celebrities? How much plastic surgery has she had and/or slap has Patti Boulaye got on?

You need more than 8 million votes to win a GE - a couple of hundred thousand huff takers won't make a difference. In any case what you're forgetting is that the leadership election rules are controlled by the NEC who were almost persuaded last time to make sure the candidates depend on the PLP - I can't see another Corbyn getting 15% of MPs - especially as there'll only be about 170 of them.

He admitted it himself when asked why anyone left wing should vote for him and said he had nothing to offer. Short term investment in public services is all well and good but it's easily reversed. There should have been massive investment in housing which is hard to ruin but he wouldn't dare burst the bubble.

Problem is Blair won by never offering anything vaguely left wing and whether you like it or not the anti-establishment resentment feeling that was tapped into by Brexit was not started by Cameron - it was started by Thatcher and continued by NL. And anyone who votes Tory is a cunt. That has been the case since they were formed and will always be the case. I accepted in the 80s/90s/ that britain is a nation of self-serving cunts so I honestly dont know why anyone even tries and makes a difference.

I've said before I think he's a decent man who shouldn't be leader but the idea that another leader (however much better) would reverse the fortunes instantly is over optimistic. The referendum really has fucked things and while the likely demise of ukip is welcome its pointless in the scheme of things as they'll all vote tory. There's a division between metropolitan professional lefties and traditional areas which though it has always existed, is now at its widest I can remember. As I was saying the other day, the reduction in unions and large workplaces has made labour voters vulnerable to more targetted propaganda regarding the poor and immigration which is unlikely to be reversed soon. Blair succeeded because of his broad appeal including a lot of centrist voters. Any new leader will have to do the same but confront the legacy of perceived issues of immigration and economic incompetence - not an easy task against the tide. I see the only hope for the labour party as riding the wave of antipathy towards the cluster fuck of May's coming deal. Unfortunately I think no matter how bad it is, it'll be sold successfully as a success no matter how bad it is.
-
Yes, but part of that problem is because he and they are seen as so pro-immigration which is unpopular in traditional areas. If you think a new leader will instantly fix that you're dreaming. There was a video the other day of Farron talking to a bloke who was a lifelong labour voter who was voting tory simply to support a hard Brexit. No mention of leaders at all.
-
It's sad to say, but I think a lot of anti-immigration traditional labour voters will vote for May stupidly thinking any "deal" she gets will include a reduction in migrants.

Read Market Forces by Richard Morgan or similar stories - only those with wealth and/or a good job will be allowed to be citizens and will live in gated communities with secure transport to and from work. Everyone else will live a feral existence in the remaining wastelands.

Put together a compilation of all the refereeing fuckovers we've had this year and send it to them with a big fuck off. -
Foreigners trying to influence elections - unthinkable - apart from Murdoch of course.

I read a story that he'd commissioned an extensive private poll to measure his chances (before the election call). If true it would indicate a hint of realism - of course whether he'd still be too stubborn to take notice is another matter. On the election call itself I think there's a lot in what Sturgeon said about the election expenses thing as well as political opportunism. I've come to the point where Corbyn aside, I think the mood of the country is so fucked up and the negotiations are going to be so toxic, I don't mind the cunts presiding over the whole shit show.

She has two compelling attributes though - they'd get major abuse from the Id police if they sacked her.
