Got myself a Canon 550D! Bought it in Malaysia for £650, which seems like a great deal bearing in mind the cheapest I've found it elsewhere was around the 700-750 mark. I'm still learning all the ins and outs of it, but have still managed to get some great snaps:

Nice one. I've got the Nokia D3000. If you're into or getting into photography then get yourself on flickr. Good for getting feedback on composition etc. I've been self taught since the new year and coming on canny.

I fancy Mafia 2 aswell, never played the original but it looked my type of game from what I saw. There's a demo released on August 10th Besty, so I'll decide if it's a must-buy once I've played it.

Meanwhile...

Couple of shirts in the Uniqlo sale. One day I'll learn to stop shopping for "the size I'll be after losing a bit of weight". Such a lass thing.

 I've been doing the same trick for years.

For a few quid more you could have had the first three books in an omnibus:

Every now and again you buy a new gadget that really delivers in spades.

Just needs three speakers so no wires under the carpet. Sound is phenominal.

Also has the following features.

Wirelessly connects to the internt and other computers around the house

Acces facebook, youtube etc with the remote

Watch films from Love film

Plays radio stations

Has an ipod / iphone charger

Plays all iphone songs / pictures / videos

Sitting here listening to Whitney and she sounds as though she's sitting next to me.

I love this product

I've been looking at that one for my Dad's Samsung TV. He doesn't want the 5.1 as he doesn't want the speakers/cables all over the place. It's immediate predecessor got 5 star reviews from WhatHiFi last year. The new model is the HT-5200 which looks identical apart from the software upgrade - it now plays DivX etc.

I want those headphones too, although my Sennheiser earphones are just about dead already, those ones don't look like they'd break so easily.

£262 is the cheapest I can find.

Looks ok, but I personally wouldn't be having a Stereo system.

You can get the Sony LG BD390 for £170 at Richer Sounds if you already have a canny set of surround speakers (or want put the savings towards some new ones).

CNET spunked thheir load over it....

and what hifio gave it five stars...

It doesn't have a cradle for your ipod, but i don't see the benefit of that when you can play anything from your PC on it anyway.

Sennheiser headphones are brilliant for the money I'm using these atm and they're fantastic http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-PXC300-...s/dp/B00080O0UI

the noise cancellation was great for when i was flying, surprised how well it works.

lad in my office has these though http://store.apple.com/uk/product/TX584ZM/...mco=MTcwOTA3OTU

and gotta admit, the build quality and sound out of them is superb, more for sitting in the house hooked up to something rather than on the go though.

The PXC450s won what HiFi's best noise cancelling headphones of 2009...
