None of your political spin on this one CT, I just want a straight up answer.

Do you think Ferguson will make it here?

No.

Reason 1

Plays 3 games in a row, gets 3 assists in a row, then gets dropped. Manager has no faith to stick with him.

Reason 2

His game under Pardew has gone backward. This is purely down to the negative safety first approach Pardew takes. He has tried to turn his game from the feisty little winger (or whatever you want to PC call him) into the left back protector that became Jonas's game.

Reason 3

Having played well, regularly and in his favourite position for Birmingham (and back to assisting) Im sure he would jump at the chance of regular football elsewhere.

Reason 4

Ashleys investment in the team will see better players joining and current "first teamers" becoming the bench players.

Reason 5

Pardew. Not sure if he is the right sort of manager to bring young talent on given the amount of young talent that seems to have stagnated under him.

Do I still think he will have a decent career in the top flight (quite possibly but probably in the lower half).

That's it, aye. This is exactly what people have said he needs all along, a stint at a Championship club to build him up a bit. It neither demonstrates he's not Premiership material, nor does it prove he's the solution to all our problems. It's just nice to see Pardew and the club doing the right thing by the lad. :good:

Having said that, just for CT:

lol good freekick and on target but fuck me who is that keeper and how much gap did he leave

Are we really doing this? His wall covered that side of the goal.

It was a good freekick, lets not scrutinise just because CT loves the lad.

Doing himself no favours with Pardew chalking up these assists. Far too adventurous. ;)

The worrying thing is that I actually think that you are serious. :(

Speroni. Not a bad keeper and Palace are one of the best sides in the division, only 3 points off Hull in second.

Incredible scoreline really, 4-0 away from home, a home Palace haven't lost at since August.

As for Ferguson, he's going to be a great player in the Championship for years to come. And if he somehow manages to get back into the first team picture with us, it shows how foolish the club were for not spending last summer - the lads out on loan at the moment (Ferguson, Sammy, Good, Inman, Abeid, Newton, Dummet etc) are really going to be benefiting from their experiences in a way that U21/bench/last resort replacement duty was never going to help them in. Really wish it hadn't taken half the season to send them out.

Over the wall whilst getting it back down and as far into the corner as you are going to get. If Zigic hadn't fouled the first defender in the wall he MIGHT have got a head on it but Ferguson done as well as you can in that situation.

Looking back you can probably find faults with most freekicks scored but real time it's never that simple.
