Honestly think one of the best things a Newcastle fan can take from a loss is how happy it makes mackems. Given how little their results matter to us.

They are playing better than us atm though alex, as much as it pains me to say it.

The toon are aaaaaaaabsolutely shite, but in all honesty Sunderland are an even darker shade of shite than us. They have more hope cos their owner has shown he'll spend though.

Canny what boredom can lead you to discover; The fixture computer hasn't been kind to the mackems. Their run over Xmas

and again in April

is pretty shocking.

 

 

Not great times to have such stiff opposition. At Xmas, the games come thick and fast, it'd be better to face a mix of big and smaller sides. In April, the last thing you want is to be dragged into the relegation dogfight, but a run of

six tough games (where you could very well come out without a point) must be daunting.
