We have been talking about this government collapsing for fucking months, and it just won't die. We thought their coalition with the LDs would collapse, and again, it didn't.

They do whatever it takes.

I reckon Thornberry would batter this lot into submission. I like Corbyn but he's not doing nearly enough to highlight the outrageous incompetence of this government.

Good shout

Corbyn seems to have just settled into his people's champion role, but has no ambition to lead. Thornberry seems fucking radge. That business last week where she had Green thinking she was about to ask him about his porn collection was mint. He never recovered his composure.

Corbyn v May is like watching two retards play swing ball.

Literally none of that post is true. You said that everyone is now happy that sufficient progress has been made, not that they'll be happy in a few days. And what is agreed now on Ireland can in no way be rolled back in Phase 2. Everything agreed in Phase 1 underpins what will happen in Phase 2. It's not dependent on a trade deal.

You have a very loose relationship with the truth.

Jesus wept

Its all in black & white if you scroll upwards

I said everyone involved in the negotiations was happy to move onto Phase 2 on Monday. The spoiler was the DUP not liking the wording which will be resolved in a few days.

EVERYBODY (but you), understands that phase 1 is about making “SUFFICIENT PROGRESS”.

Nothing has been agreed on Ireland or will in phase 1 other than flowery words as what happens will depend on the deal agreed in Phase 2.

Britain has failed in its attempt to continue having senior representation in the ECJ. Quite why we thought we wouldn't get laughed out of the room on this one is beyond me, but the fact that we tried suggests that we are going for the route of Brexit just being a 'for show' political manoeuvre.

Getting out just in time.....

In his speech to SPD conference, Schulz calls for a federal constitution for a United States of Europe by 2025.

Martin Schulz has told the SDP party conference today that a new treaty should be presented to member states creating a United States of Europe and countries who oppose it must leave the EU. He demanded “there to be a constitutional treaty to create a federal Europe… the treaty will be presented to the member states and those who are against should just leave the European Union… We want the United States of Europe”. His plan is for this to come into existence by 2025.

 Unbelievably thick.

Cuntface. Because your smelly breathed arsehole of a prime minister can't get Mrs Brown and her boys to agree to the wordy words on her piece of paper, there has been NO progress made as yet.

Do you understand now?

Think of it as a Facebook post that the DUP needs to click "Like" on if that's easier. Until that happens, we can't superpoke the EU.

:lol::lol:

(Would've got an extra  but I don't know what a superpoke is.)

That the fella who comfortably lost the recent election to a fourth-term chancellor at an all-time popularity low? :scratchchin:

Sounds good though. Should be a nice strong EU when we rejoin it in 2040 or so. :D

This interesting. Guess who said the following?

Quote

There is a proper role for referendums in constitutional change, but only if done properly. If it is not done properly, it can be a dangerous tool.

Referendums should be held when the electorate are in the best possible position to make a judgment. They should be held when people can view all the arguments for and against and when those arguments have been rigorously tested. In short, referendums should be held when people know exactly what they are getting. So legislation should be debated by Members of Parliament on the Floor of the House, and then put to the electorate for the voters to judge.

We should not ask people to vote on a blank sheet of paper and tell them to trust us to fill in the details afterwards. For referendums to be fair and compatible with our parliamentary process, we need the electors to be as well informed as possible and to know exactly what they are voting for. Referendums need to be treated as an addition to the parliamentary process, not as a substitute for it.

It's just the wording the DUP object to? Not Dublin and the EU getting their own way in the border issue then? Just "words"?

Makes sense, practical in the world we're heading into, and ultimately will end up with us as part of it anyway - just with no say in determining how to develops.

Sweet fucking Jesus, I guess I'm the muppet you've dragged into the mud this time.

You are now saying that everyone was happy on Monday, your initial post on the matter said that everyone was currently happy that sufficient progress had been made.

And what is an agreement but a collection of words laying out future plans? You colossal fuckwit.
