An increasing % of revenue comes from TV revenue meaning smaller clubs with smaller crowds are less at a disadvantage to other clubs. Apart from for the largest clubs competing regularly in the CL, in theory this should make the league more competitive. Hence more 'crazy' results. That and Tom's point which few people will want to acknowledge. only 12 points seperated 7th and 17th last season....you might find that sort of thing has happened one or two more times in the last decade as well.
