Biggest financial meltdown even by Labours standards and yet again the Tories rescue the day. Less than 3 years to sort the mess out.

They said we'd lose a million jobs but we have nearly 1 1/2 million more whilst giving pensioners a decent pension and taking millions out of paying tax and freezing council tax and reducing business rates.

Surely a landslide next year.

Below your usual standards tbh

They've resided over the longest recession in living history during which time you've been totally silent, only to pop up on his thread when we've come out of rock bottom (hopefully). Living standards are still declining for most people and have been for years so not sure about that landslide, but then nothing should be beyond the greatest PM you've known in your life time. :)

Pity the north east isn't benefiting from this recovery like, same old Tories on that score I guess.

They resided over the clean up, not the cause.

Hand on heart do you honestly believe the global crash and subsequent recession would have been avoided or lessened under a tory government? Yes or no please.

Do you think you're Paxman!

We would have been in a better financial position, not sold off the Gold, the roof would have been fixed while the sun shone and there WOULD have been money left.

Of course it would, all from the party that promised to match labour on spending, not that that was the cause as well you know.

This is getting tedious as fuck now. What was predicted to happen with our economy happened - years of zero growth and stagnation, declining living standards, and an ideological drive to slash the welfare stare. Now there's a property mediated bounce back (always going to happen), we have to endure your smug, crass, childish posts as you sex wee yourself in anticipation of the best PM of your life getting back in power. Meanwhile living standards have crashed and the north east, as usual, is fucked.

Interesting too that the main supporters of the Tories on this board are yourself and a borderline sociopath council plumber who hates his clients. :)

I'm a Lib Dem and I hate my clients too, which probably goes some way to explaining the coalition

But you and Red Ed predicted a million less jobs, we've got a million and a half more!

The only tedious thing btw is some of you whinging like spoilt bairns after every bit of good news. ;)

No there wouldn't it would have all been given away in tax rebates to the rich.

And yet the rich paid less tax under Labour until just before the last election. Go figure!

Pensioners tax tied to retail index

Millions of lowest paid get tax rebate

Millions taken out of tax all together

Council tax frozen

All while fixing the mess they inherited from labour, as usual.

Well said.

My advice: just laugh at CT - he has shown time and again that he doesn't know his arse from his elbow on just about every debate going on here better to poke fun than try to engage with him.
