NJS 5277
A couple of the lads I used to go to the matches with had brothers a couple of years younger than us and they had a group of mates and we all used to go together mainly. One of the younger group wasn't into football and decided to book his wedding for fa cup final day in 98 and they all joked about us getting there. In the end none of his mates went as they were all at Wembley - I don't think his lass talked to any of them for years (he sort of understood). Always check the date of the cup final...
Sonatine 13436
Got some dates sorted out for Newcastle next year already. Grant-Lee Phillips in Jan, Ladytron in March and Tori Amos in April. Tempted to see if there's any tickets left for the Miki Berenyi Trio at the Cluny just before Christmas too. As an aside, £8 for a fucking pint at the City Hall last night. I'm sure gigs used to be a cheapish night out back in the day

PaddockLad 22426
Peter Hook & the light...it was amazing the amount of times a man who has been a member of bands with names such as Warsaw, Joy Division and New Order appeared to throw out what would appear to be a Nazi salute during two hours of music but there you go 😆✊🏻 at least a dozen occasions all of which I singularly failed to capture. I got this spectacularly shite shot instead ☺️ They played the fairly low rent new order album Get Ready then a million Joy Division tracks, Blue Monday & True Faith and finished with Love will tear us apart...not a great vocalist but the old fucker gave it six nowt. Tbh nights like these about the brilliant songs getting played and people properly connecting with them. Well worth seeing tbh.

Just FYI, when they take your prostate and hopefully all the cancer with it, after that, like Gemmill, you're just blowing hot air!

Kid's got better taste than most grown ups. He's asked for a record player for Christmas. He's not fucking getting one, but he's asked. He has a smart speaker in his room, and I've set him up with his own Spotify account, so that'll sort him out I hope.
