Human Centipede

Possibly the worst film I've ever seen, woeful acting, the crux of the movie is that a mad surgeon grafts three people together, arsehole to mouth, to form the infamous human centipede, there is a very thin plot that seemed more of an after-thought.

You haven't watched this then:

Mega Shark v Giant Octopus (2009)

Starring Debbie Gibson no less. :D

I've not seen it but should I be worried that my wife has a copy ?

I see your Mega Shark v Giant Octopus and I raise you Sharktopus

Mega Shark has got Debbie Gibson in, Dave. That's the Debbie Gibson out of the 80's. Unless Sharktopus has got a cameo from Tiffany you can GTFO.

Check out the bloopers on the dvd extras!

Half of them are one guy and he's only in one fucking scene. You can see his 'career' going up in smoke before his very eyes :icon_lol:

And yes I realise I've got too much time on my hands. <_<

:D Aye, I spose I'd have looked less of a career masturbator if I'd remembered to quote the original post there.

Was nearly checking it out myself when I read this:

"Half of them are one guy and he's only in one fucking scene. You can see his 'career' going up in smoke before his very eyes"

I was intrigued

last year at marienbad

still vacant, post-modern bull on second viewing

Never seen it, despite the 'classic' status it has, because I'm sure I'd feel the same way you do.

It's what keeps me away from Godard, too.

Watched Robocop....

I get your point :D

but I believe a happy medium can be found between the two ...

Anyway, since then I finally watched (after a lot of tracking down):

MATTER%20OF%20LIFE%20DEATH%20QD%20RR.JPG

And bloody good it was too. Maybe not quite as good as the same directors' films Black Narcissus or The Red Shoes, but a mighty fine film nevertheless.

The first scene (the radio conversation) is just stunning.

Seen 2012 yesterday morning, thought the idea of the film was mint but the delivery was pretty shite. Who's ever seen a jumbo jet fly diagonally through two hotels? The concept of the film about the end of the world was good, a lot of people think the world will end 21/12/2012 but I thought it was a bit farcical. About an hour of the film seemed to be devoted to getting people on boats and fixing the machinery. I mean to be fair you know what sort of film you're going to get when the opening lines are "your wife gets more lovely every time I see her.", then the indian goes "shame her fish curry doesn't". I'd give it 4/10, I'd give it 5/10 but it loses a point for not showing the British flag at the G8 summit, yet showed France, Russia and Italy.

fucking shit cgi for a high concept film as well tbh. roland emmerich's obsession with disaster movies is becoming a bit tedious now

Excellent.

aye, i enjoyed that - a good, faithful adaptation. looking forward to seeing the next two. hoping hollywood doesn't murder it, though i think david fincher is directing so should be worth a watch

There arent any more disasters left to do really. Isn't he trying to get a sequel to Independence day off the ground??

The North East Snow Disaster of 2010 could be a good one.
