Four SBS lads saved a battalion of U.S. Army Rangers in the first couple of months of the afghanistan war iirc.

'First into action' by Duncan Falconer an ex-SBS is a good read imho. (Details the fuck ups as much as the successes).

Happy for Steve McQueen. Was a bit worried the film wouldn't get anything with the Yanks being touchy about slavery an all...

Thought it was distinctly average tbh. Not a patch on Wolf of Wallstreet, American Hustle or Gravity.

Bruges is lovely. The beer is nice. And the chocolate.

After that; dull as fuck.

I was in Brussels although only for an overnighter both times.

Watched Hunger Games 1 and 2 last night. Both were brilliant.

Great work from the A-list cast with dazzling special effects and costumes.

Can't wait now for the release of the third one!

Following. Christopher Nolan's first film. Very low budget and the acting isn't the best but the twists are canny and you can see the signs of where he wanted to go with Memento. And at just over an hour it's well worth the watch.

300: Rise of an Empire 3D.

As fighting goes, it was very good - but for a follow up from the previous one, very poor indeed. You only see the spartans for roughly 5 mins in the film. The film's entirety is based upon the Greeks fighting the Persians with important scenes such as the fall of Athens barely being shown. The only upside was that the 3D experience was very good.

A wicked waste of £8.65.

These films have so much blue screen it's ridiculous. One or two characters standing in a studio and the whole rest of it out of a computer. Shite.
