The CL teams we’ve left to play are currently sitting:

1st

15th

16th

19th

30th

We’re 8th.

We've got a really good chance of making the top 8 if we keep up yesterday's level. PSG away might need to be discounted but other than that you'd think we're capable of getting points from all the other fixtures.

It would have to happen at the expense of one of the existing players, ie one of them leaving the club, possibly for big money.

I don't think he's gonna be happy at Forest though. Their owner is a fucking idiot who seems to enjoy destabilising the club. Must be a shit place to be at the minute and they aren't gonna be up in the top 5 challenging for CL places again, or playing in Europe next season.

I expect he'll move on in the summer, but elsewhere.

I could see Man City showing interest in him.

are we going to pay the £60-80m he'll probably end up costing if he has a good world cup after selling him for £15m net? seems unlikely

Liverpool are in desperate need of defenders so don't put it past Slot to sign another midfielder.

I think our only hope for him coming back here would be the presence of a buy-back clause. Didn't one of the main reporters suggest it didn't exist?

yeah, we weren't a strong negotiating position so it wouldn't surprise if whoever reported that is right and we didn't insert a buy-back option. i think the only way he comes home is if forest continue to struggle and we make CL again. we'd be in a stronger position to lure him back if forest go down

If Anderson comes in, Joelinton will go IMO. I think his time as a regular starter is numbered and the injuries are piling up. As much as I love him, Ramsey was clearly signed with the idea of managing his minutes across the season

Aye, I love Joe, but he's clearly the most limited player out of our starting 3 CMs.

If Anderson has a good WC, his cost will be astronomical though.

If Forest get relegated then it'd be on, I reckon. That would cripple their negotiating position. Fingers crossed they continue to crumble. Their fat idiot owner has made the place toxic. So it's possible.

Yeah it's going to need something severe like Forest getting relegated, or the threat of another points substantial deduction.

There's no way we're dropping £60m on buying him back. No way.
