The sell on clause is 10-15% of any capital gain, Edwards' sums are wrong. (As per our resident Spanish guru).

I’ll take any good news at the moment 😔

He also think's we are off into the new season with two strikers.  We don't have a long time for that.

We don't, but that's clearly the minimum requirement.

But if Tonali, Gordon, Joelinton and Bruno are all on £150kpw, how do you put Isak on £300k without their agents all asking for the same?

Isak is by far the most valuable player we have, therefore he should be paid the most.

Interesting that they're saying that a number of the senior players at the team have challenged the hierarchy about what is happening with "the project".

I really hope that this isn't the start of this squad splintering.

Relax big boy. One big signing and we’ll be back on track.

Watch it. It's a genuinely good video about the failures at the top of the club.

How do they know about senior players going to the owners about training ground etc?  Why hasn't Hope etc said anything about this?  Yet two YouTubers know more than 'proper' journos?

Like it's such an outlandish claim. I'd be amazed if senior players HADN'T done that after two windows with no first team players signed.

Hope has talked about it before btw. He's talked about Howe having to speak to players with questions about the club's trajectory/ambition.

I like how Hope is suddenly the golden source btw. He's usually ANOTHER one that you're slagging off. And Edwards. And Caulkin.

Never got the feeling that Isak was central to the cohesion of the team.

I bet Howe is loving being on his way to the other side of the world this morning and for the next, what is it, over a week, with a hell of a lot of transfer business to get done.

If Howe wants to be the manager rather than the coach (which is seems he does) then that's the nature of the job tbf.

It's why modern football has gone the way of DoFs and all that.

He may well have a vested interest in picking/confirming a potential target but I can’t seem him getting involved in any financial discussions.

As Keith Downie said, those who were ITK, knew that Isak hasn't been happy about this for a while. This probably explains why he went AWOL over the last couple of months.

Sadly, I think this has tainted the legacy he has here. It's like when Andy Cole left. The guy was unbelievable but hes not often mentioned.

Anyway he's definitely not going to be staying after all this so we just need to get used to the fact that he's leaving and we might just have to accept that he's going to Liverpool.

To say that potentially we were going to be starting the season with Ekitike and Isak last week to this week looking at both of them being at Liverpool, you couldn't make it up and at the same time you couldn't make it more Newcastle!

Yes. But for the foreseeable future and certainly for the next few weeks, he is the DoF & CEO, fuck it, he may as well be. It is a situation he should've never found himself in again. But most of all and to make things worse, to the point I was making, now he's on the other side of the world to where everything gets done. It's a lot of work in England to be the club's everything man. It's virtually (that word again  ) impossible on the opposite side of the world. My main gripe, was: when is he supposed to sleep? It is just one more way our pre-season/transfer season is being disrupted with a coach/manager/DoF who is undoubtedly going to be burning the candle at both ends. He's not the batman!, Andrew, HAVE YOU CONSIDERED THAT?

What a cluster fuck. The club has clearly fumbled the ball and it's shaping up to be a miserable pre-season as a result. It's probably best not to look at any football news for the next 5 weeks.
