How do you ever live down selling your best striker in 3 decades and taking Liverpool's worst striker in return? He missed this yesterday FFS https://x.com/xGPhilosophy/status/1950539701154095220 I mean, those in glass houses like. Some of the shit we have done this pre-season. But its a pre-season. I couldn't care less. Its about building fitness.

He's never had a proper run with the dippers and he has played numerous positions. Oh and he's had his hair cut and looks a cunt now. He scored five goals in 30 appearances last season in the side that walked the league. Putting stats aside, just watch the players for more than five minutes and it's obvious that he isn't a natural goal scorer at the top level. If it came down to it, would we do a deal where Nunez ends up here and Isak goes there. He looked class before he went there, and I'm sure Eddie could do something with him. But it would definitely be a significant downgrade. What say you? Well wages and outlay would be needed to taken into account

toonotl 4691
I'm still hopeful that Sesko will come through. I know you can't be disappointed if you don't hope for this sort of stuff. And I do think it's a longshot. But what's the point of even paying attention to this circus of scammers in the media if we can't even hope for the best to happen. I'm hopeful of getting it done as long as the club is pursuing it. We just need a bit of luck. We won a trophy for the first time in 70 years. Good stuff can happen to NUFC. We've seen it happen. It just might take until August 31st.
wykikitoon 28568
I agree. If Sesko is available and we have been told the fee. Fucking pay it.

One of the Man Utd directors used to work at Leipzig and is driving the deal. The easy bit is agreeing with his agent that we will pay him £150k pw. His agent will agree that with multiple clubs. The hard bit is convincing the player to sign for a club he's probably never heard of over the club he grew up watching Ronaldo and Rooney play for.

Aye, but only PSR wise because they've signed Mbuemo and Cunha. If they convince some sucker to take Sancho, Garnacho or Hoijlind, that's the first installment sorted and then the £1b revenue they make next season sorts out the rest of his transfer fee. We haven't won a single signing against the Sky 6 and we won't win this one either. Or we'll find out he was never interested in joining us anyway and is staying put for now. We have to do much better than going for obvious targets that the likes of Liverpool, Man Utd and Chelsea are after. Like we used to do under Staveley. All that happens at the moment is the selling club and/or the player's agent picks up the phone to said club to push up the fee and wages and we are wasting our time from that moment on. We've wasted a lot of time this window on dead ends.

Klopp and Liverpool's very successful recruitment team will have looked at him over an extended period and obviously concluded otherwise. It hasn't worked out for him there, but there must be a player in there.
