He’s already refused to play and gone AWOL, short of driving himself to the Liverpool training ground there isn’t a lot more he can do to escalate it.

Hand in an actual transfer request?

His agent could pipe up and mention “broken promises” and “he’ll never play for the club again”…

The one thing that is of no concern to us is money up front.  The flip side of that is, that it probably is a concern to most other clubs.  So again we are in the position to tell them to go and fuck their wall pushing cunt selves right up their own arses.

Less about us, more about them. Suggestive they're not in a financial position to do anything beyond that make up.

He can put a transfer request in and forgo any loyalty bonuses he is due

One of the most off putting things in football in general these days is that the cunts are entitled to loyalty bonuses despite their agents engineering moves, if they don't put a written transfer request in.  I can agree with any amount of the reasons that are given as to why these massively well players keep wanting better wages that they feel they are due.  But I can see absolutely no justification for paying any bonuses like that to the cunts.

We’re already a CL club and have a player who has just had a British transfer breaking bid for him. We need to be pushing the limits of the fair market value on sponsorship deals and get some new training ground and training gear deals done ASAP.

But that's just it, isn't it? We're having to jump through increasing small hoops to push the ceiling higher, all the while the existing top 6 clubs are pushing it back down. Our attempts to attract players; Trafford, Hujsen, Mbeumo, Ekitike, Sesko. It's either that we're being scuppered by top 6 clubs who are deliberately stymying our progress, or it's that the pool of players we are targeting is too small.

Say we make the CL again this coming season, say we win the League Cup again, will next season's Mbeumo choose us over Man Utd? Will next seasons Trafford?

Of course he can put in a transfer request but the club is under no obligation to accept it. If it’s true that Liverpool aren’t going to return with another bid unless encouraged by us then I’d feel very fucking betrayed if I were Isak. £110m is an insult when you know the club aren’t willing sellers, Isak should be starting to question just how much Liverpool actually value him.

I hope the whole thing falls apart, Liverpool sod off, the Newcastle dressing room tells Isak to sod off and he's left with no choice but to solve our PSR problems by going to Saudi for 170M.

Nothing from Romano yet. He is probably waiting for instruction from the agent or Liverpool.

Hopefully the cunts swinging

They can't keep doing this though. This is an aligning of the planets moment driven by PSR windows I suppose - I doubt they have the power to commit to something like this again next season. Maybe we need to limp on another year and go again with next season's talent pool, I doubt we get as much competition then.

5% I think it is according to @Diego21

I seem to remember that what I said was that they had 10% of the capital gains (which is what the Basque media published here)

Looks like we told them to go fuck themselves in a manner that hasn't really sat well  Excellent

Now for the treacherous pig. He can come apologize publicly or find another club willing to spunk 150M plus. Real shame he's let it come to this but at this point I'm almost hoping someone outside of England manages to find the money. Don't want players here who've had their heads turned, not sure even Howe can turn this around for him.

Three things might happen from here...

1. Formal transfer request

2. Acceptable offer on deadline day

3. Liverpool's position remains as it today and he stays and is rehabilitated via a smack in jaw from Joelinton followed by 17 x 3 hour intense one-on-one  therapy sessions with Dan Burn :cuppa:

If the Athletic are on the money with PIF's stance then he'll go next summer, and we can spend 12 months sourcing a replacement.
