Alexander Isak

Evidently there's a fair bit of anger at Isak, within the squad, due to the way he's handled this, reintegration (should it come to that) may not be straightforward.

From same person who told me, year past February which I posted on here,  that Anderson was worried/thought he'd be sold. No idea what source is, it used to be Anderson, still could be I guess as he'll still be mates with a few.

When journalists were talking about it earlier in the week they were talking about training as being "from Wednesday". They've maybe given the travelling lot a day off after the travel.

Isak is definitely back there today. Was reported on earlier. Suspect he's seeing the medical team again.

There is no way we can allow Isak to leave now. Even if it does cost us money and it will take some time for him to stop sulking but we have got a n important season ahead of us where we need to make sure to continue competing at the top and in all competitions.

Agreed. He and Liverpool needed us to complete the deal for Sesko.

A subset of Man Utd fans are joyous, not because it looks like they're going to sign Sesko, but because it looks like they're going to prevent Liverpool getting Isak.

We're being used as a fucking pawn.

No chance Isak goes now, surely. There are no players on the market that I can think of left that would go anywhere near to replacing him. Wissa is Wilson’s replacement, not Isak’s. (Assuming that deal doesn’t also go tits up).

Surely that should be wrapped up by now anyway, maybe this Sesko episode might make him think nah yer alright and we lose that chance too

Wissa has now apparently started training with Brentford again.

Well you would hope he would, he needs to stay fit.

Indeed but he was downing tools until he was given permission to speak to us. Sounds like his position has softened. Fully expect him to remain at Brentford now.

Al Hilal have agreed a deal with Liverpool for Nunez.

Considering they've lost Jota, Diaz and now Nunez is going, you have to think they've got assurances of another incoming striker alongside Ekitike.

Yeah. looks like he is transitioning his front line.

They seem a bit lopsided in terms of attackers (unless they plan to have Ekitike on the left). Where is Wirtz going to play?

Maybe a change of formation is in the offing.

I don't think they've got any assurances from us. It's entirely contingent on us signing a replacement.

Ramos was talked about as being next on the list, but who knows where that goes. I wouldn't be surprised if the conversations internally now are just that Isak has to stay.

It's been a bruising fucking window, we can't afford another high profile rejection.

You watch Etikike and Isak running into the same space in the middle and out on the left (where Isak would venture into if he wasn't getting the ball from midfield) they're going to be tripping over each other if the plan is to play them both in the same side :cuppa:

We are probably embarrassed to even swipe right now.

I'm guessing that's some reference to Grindr or something but I wouldn't know as I'm NOT A SEXUAL DEVIANT.

Ifsak didn't train this morning with the team. Apparently he's expected in this afternoon

He must have been doing something this morning to earn the right.
