I refused to believe it citing interviews like that. He's either a really good actor, or his agent has turned him off us. I still wonder if the transfer issues played a part in all of this. I don't think his head was turned until the summer. I think the second half of the season he was definitely carrying an injury. His thigh was heavily strapped up. I think Liverpool knew Diaz & Nunez were on the way - I think that's part of the reason they persuaded Salah to do a U-turn. The tragic loss of Jota elevated their need to get into the striker market - Isak was clearly someone of interest and I think that precipitated conversations between club and agent. No doubt they observed the MGW saga and face-palmed somewhat. Given the couple pressers he did not 5 months ago where he expressed his satisfaction at being here, it's evident someone has been in his ear - Liverpool FC are undoubtedly complicit IMO. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
