What is our official legal recourse?

Can the club terminate his contract for gross misconduct? Sue him for breach of contract? Seek an injunction to stop him playing for another club for the duration of his original contract?

I mean he’s made his own position untenable

Surely this amounts to a forfeit of the loyalty bonus mind aye, was thinking that myself

Didn't Eddie a few times throughout the season gone, mention contract talks weren't openly being discussed for Isak and PSR had held that back in some form. Might have been a mix of his words and reports at the time.

There may be some miles in the Mitchell pulling the plug on a verbally mooted improved contract piece.

I'd be surprised then if we haven't revisited that this summer. Now the problem then could be he's after £250k to £300k PW which we clearly can't offer & his agent has been in his ear offering alternative contracts elsewhere. One being a tapped up Liverpool one.

Whatever the situation, he's acting worse than a petulant child. The industry he's in, you don't get a long career and that notion may come back to haunt. Let him rot and leave on a free when he's a couple of months away from 29 but fine that bellend every step of the way. Make him feel the financial pain.

We don't have the full picture to hand but what is evident is he's a morally corrupted greedy prick & he's anything but a model professional.

Bruno releasing that picture shortly after is a beautiful response. Feels like the squad are moving in the direction of we manage without, regardless of the sabotage of Isnake.

I see CN has spoken again - no change in our approach and not for sale.

Go buy Wissa and another striker and leave him in the reserves squad getting lumps booted out of him by young kids trying to make a name for themselves.

Prick.

There’s fuck all we can do legally about that statement. All he has really said is that promises were broken and a change would be best for both parties.

IF (big if) you believe him, which apparently you are desperate to do.

I say again, why the I'm happy interviews, why the kit launch, why the supportive/encouraging of his move posts on Elanga's Instagram. It just doesn't add up at all. Things only started to come out when the dippers dabled.

I think the wider squad know the truth and Bruno's photo he posted paints a thousand words.

Correct.

Dipper messaging saying Newcastle need to sell and use the money to rebuild like they did with Couthinio.

Fuck me, they really are thick as fuck.

TBF they’ve stretched that Coutinho money out over the last seven years so maybe he has a point.

The irony in that statement talking about promises and trust when you're refusing to honor your contract and leave your teammates in the lurch

Monumentally thick bellend

Collymore nails it

Quote

I'd sack the agent if I'd received the advice he has, because his contract didn't have a " if you do well you can go at £xxxx", he's basically been on strike for a couple of weeks ( what's the agent doing to get him and club to agree an exit strategy???), an agent several weeks in should advise pulling the transfer list rip cord ( " you're going to lose some dough but your next club will make it up ") etc etc. And any public statement can be used in any tribunal against the ayer do advise him to keep it shut. Piss poor agent work, naive player, "possible" renaging ( pure speculation at this point) on handshake by club, a football transfer room 101 in how not to handle a febrile situation.

Just get a fucking striker in asap and don't worry so much about the wages as Isak's fines for refusing to play should cover most or all of it while he's sitting in his house playing FIFA wearing a Liverpool strip like thousands of other gimps not actually from Merseyside. :good:

Imagine being this upset by a ‘pinky promise’ when you’re being paid £150,000 a week and adored by thousands.

This clown is so out of touch!

This. So fucking what if he had to wait one more year for a new deal for fuck sake - did we not try to offer him one in March in the end but he shot us down? All this for missing 6 months on a higher salary?

He’ll probably edit himself into the Liverpool team in FIFA as well.

How nice of him to torpedo his prospective new team mate’s big moment of winning the PFA Players Player of the Year with this statement BTW.

Fucking needy prick!

Even Hucthinson thinks it’s idiotic. MLF status revoked.

He should get an honorary shirt with Iska 14 on the back as a thank you.

Before he issued this tonight, I thought he had a slight chance of coming back. But with this statement it's the end of his career here. If the owners are willing to take the hit it could well be the end of his career. It'll be interesting to see if he turns up for training tomorrow
