Before he self-sabotaged his reputation and memory here that's correct. Streaky as heck, moody and injury prone. That's the reality. Whilst he's very likely to eventually come good there it's not wholly unfathomable that Eddie got the best out of him and he had his peak years here. As for his total lack of form, I keep thinking of Gordon at the start of the season, when he was saying that he needed to learn all of the patterns to play up front for us. All of the patterns Eddie Howe had drilled into Alexander Isak to make him look as good as he did for us, and which Arne Slot and Liverpool thought just came naturally to the prick. I'm currently reading Stephen King's Dark Tower series, and to quote The Gunslinger, "he has forgotten the face of his father". We all know the difference Howe made to the players that were here when he arrived, so it's just logical that he's done the same to the players he's brought in. To quote Slot himself in that piece above, "the margins at the top are small".
