fucking hell the german's were absolute dog shite.

our lad hardly had a touch, no meaningful service to him at all. limited to about 2 or 3 weak as piss headers, nearly played somebody in with a canny ball to the edge of the penalty area when he drifted out to the left with about 5 minutes to go and that literally was it.

Whoever is managing Germany these days is going to have to wait for Eddie to tell him how to use his fucking striker.

Speaking of, it seems like Nagelsmann had a bit of an influence on Nick coming here. "I told Nick he’s welcome to move to Bayern if he wants to. But he should also make it clear to them that with 25% playing time, things would be tight for him for the World Cup.”

Good advice and the player being smart enough to take it in is a good sign, considering the advice offered to our former striker.

I think the german's are too scared to go anywhere near the slovakian number 6, he's clearly a zombie.

Was the number 6 the former Newcastle reject Lubo Satka or the other bloke Skriniar?

I like this lad's videos.

I think initially he’ll be used off the bench. I think we’ll play a 4-3-3 with Gordon and Elanga either side of Wissa. Which isn’t to disagree with anything in that video, more how I think Howe operates. Obviously Wissa has only been here 5 minutes too but he’s premier league ready. Plus I don’t think Howe would want to put too much pressure on Woltemade either.

I think, for the first time since his arrival, Howe has a squad with lots of different player profiles and tactical flexibility. Think you’re right with Woltemade getting bedded in slowly but wouldn’t surprise me to see him used more in the CL first. When we’re trailing in games later in the season, I fully expect him to use the 4-4-2 with Woltemade and Wissa up top. Will probably see Joelinton make way in that scenario IMO.

The other consideration is it's unlikely Woltemade is anywhere near "Eddie fit" so his introduction will be slow IMO, Wissa will be closer and he's used to the Prem so he'll deffo start earliest of the two.

I’m not an expert but I think Stuttgart are known to be a pretty fit team (not like that) and they do a lot of running and pressing. He may be closer than we think

bbc2 tonight and the 2nd opportunity to see our new german beanpole in action.

and by god he needs to be considerably better than he was against slovakia otherwise I think we can safely say we've completely wasted £65m.
