thebrokendoll 14200 Posted September 4 Share Posted September 4 fucking hell the german's were absolute dog shite. our lad hardly had a touch, no meaningful service to him at all. limited to about 2 or 3 weak as piss headers, nearly played somebody in with a canny ball to the edge of the penalty area when he drifted out to the left with about 5 minutes to go and that literally was it. I think, for the first time since his arrival, Howe has a squad with lots of different player profiles and tactical flexibility. Think you’re right with Woltemade getting bedded in slowly but wouldn’t surprise me to see him used more in the CL first. When we’re trailing in games later in the season, I fully expect him to use the 4-4-2 with Woltemade and Wissa up top. I’m not an expert but I think Stuttgart are known to be a pretty fit team (not like that) and they do a lot of running and pressing.
