  1. Past hour
  2. sadly it was another typical city game. i stayed up too. dominated possession. They defended manfully and broke with purpose. Not a tactical masterclass by them as everyman and his dog know thats the way to beat City. Their keeper had an outstanding game. And i'm being polite when i say ours didn't. I was surprised by the quality in their side. the likes of ... Cancelo, Koulibaly, Lodi, Neves, Malcom, Milinkovic-Savic, Leonardo Think we made about £40m out of being there. Would have liked the 100m for winning it all though. ah well, time to take a break from football. and plenty to ponder before the transfer window closes on my 60th birthday.
  3. I cannot reveal my sources but I will reveal that I spotted him from a distance and shifted through the gears to full turbo-waddle to catch up with him in the hope that we were on a transfer business call.
  4. I’m willing to bet that there’s a massive dollop of homophobia involved in their pro-trans stuff. It’ll be seen as better to be born in the wrong body than to insert yourself into someone with a similar body.
  5. Owphabewwi Spagewwi is how he says it. Do it pwopawy or don’t do it at all.
  6. very similar to nitrous balloons, medical grade cannabis produces aural hallucinations.
  7. Exactly, there's no chance he is a complete flop. Has a good injury record. Hard working, fast, unselfish player, both footed. Young and can improve. Won't currently be on huge wages. He should be a massive priority for us.
  8. going to have to ask you to NAME and SHAME
  9. 'wewww, what wa mwain fwing is, wor weddie is not happwie' 'MAM! I've towld yow, when the wed light is on, imw wecording, but was, can I pwease have alwphabettie spwagetthi'
  10. I suspect you'd more likely find that we don't value Elliott at £40m and we'd go in with an opening bid of 25 or something. Same as we're currently doing with Trafford. Only times we've gone over 50 was to get Isak and Tonali, and we got both at a relative steal in hindsight.
  11. i don't think they have many PSR worries tbh, so £40m on a young prospect who can't get regular football for them isn't the worst idea. he could end up being another Hall/Livramento type signing, were it to happen. it also appears £40m is towards the upper end of what the club feel comfortable paying for a single player. if rumours are to believed we won't go as high as the £55-60m the likes of Chelsea are happy to throw at every signing.
  12. I recently overheard a well known local journalist on the phone talking about our transfer business, saying that he spoke to Eddie who seems pretty down about things. Which is obviously wonderful news.
  13. he's a left footer who can play in midfield or as an inverted RW. i think he's an exciting prospect. doesn't have the blistering pace of elanga but i think he has a higher technical ceiling. he could be a smart buy for £30-40m.
  14. If it’s true that others are interested in Elanga, we’re going to have to bite the bullet and pay what they want tbh. Because if not, he’ll just go to Villa or Arsenal. Or probably fucking Chelsea and we’ll be left with our cock in our hand again
  15. Today
  16. I'm not so sure it'll get done. By the sounds of it Forest have no interest in selling. Remember last window when we were chasing a player whose club had no interest in selling him? We're gonna have to pay way over the odds, and we spent the entire window last year failing to get close to a figure that Palace couldn't say no to. When you've got a club that don't want to sell, "that's not enough" will be the answer to every bid until we're offering absolutely crazy money. And even then, if you don't want to sell, see if you can get these idiots to go another £5m.
  17. Yeah am certainly not against Elanga. We're going to pay through the nose for the fucker but I think it's going to get done....
  18. It fucking would have as well. Maybe not directly into the comments but on some level they'd have been seething.
  19. Should've made the lass white for extra gammon kick off motivation.
  20. They’ll be the same ones saying we should look after our own whilst kicking off about free school meals
  21. Elanga has had good returns for 2 seasons now and he has 5 years of Prem experience at only 23. He's hard working. Id say he was a good fit regardless of whether he's Isaks mate. If Isak wants him here it's a bonus.
  22. It's not either or to me tbh, I think we're looking at both these sorts of players. l'm surprised at you mate, thought you'd be creaming yourself at the thought of a no. 10 type attacking player and a RW. I'd be a bit surprised if it's Elliott but he's the sort of player we need to break down the 11 men behind the ball merchants of the league. Not sure if he'd come here though, he doesn't get in the fully fit first XI which is precisely where he is at Liverpool. Same as paying big money for another striker. We need these players for squad depth but identifying those who would definitely come is fuckin tricky.. as for Elanga am wondering how much influence Isak has had on this...is this a stab at keeping him happy?..
