I'm casting my mind back many years, but I don't recall there being any coding to do in the early days. It was still very much plug and play. I wonder if it's the product of multiple upgrades along the way and the interface simply hasn't kept up with some of the older features? Anyway back to the funding - good to know but if there is the need to dip our hands in our pockets, I, and I'm sure many of the other regulars will be only too happy to help - this place really is a much needed departure from the shite that is everyday life - cheers Andrew, massively appreciate what you do.

As an additional note though, I picked this place up when Ant left because I was willing and somewhat techy, but really web stuff is not my bread and butter. The board upgrade should be relatively plug and play from our supplier but the further back stuff which may be contributing to the place dropping is Apache2 which isn't something I've ever really worked with. If anyone is familiar with it and willing to pitch in then send me a DM. A couple of you have already offered help which is much appreciated and will be called on!

Thank you but the patreon should have it covered, we didn't do a christmas donation this year because I'd seen how much the upgrade licence might end up being 😅 Don't think any further funds will be needed, if they are then I can manage that and pay myself back from patreon down the road.

I will have to convince my family to make another stop at my favourite french supermarket in Medard anyway where you can spend anything between 5 and 500 Euros for decent wines.

I am staying at Cap Ferret at the moment. I spent some time in these parts ten years ago. Going to Pilat (again) tomorrow then onwards to Mimizan and Bayonne before heading to San Sebastian. I actually not sure if we manage to make Bilbao unless there is a real rupture of the space time continuum.

I highly recommend Bassin d’Arcachon which is close to Bordeaux. Particularly Dune du Pilat or Cap Ferret (depending on what you are looking for).

It’s like Alzheimer’s this place. Every day I have to be reminded that my heroes have died and relive the grief.

Currently still drinking my way through the Bordeaux region though. So I am not sure if the board is crashing all the time or am I drinking too much red wine.

Spending some time on the west coast of france making my way to basque territory to look for some pintxos in San Sebastian and asking people in Bilbao about being mlfs (or milfs depending on the gender). I hope the board going back in time every day does extend to the duration of my holidays tbh.
