Sir Eddie’s club legends v Everton - happy and glorious
Dazzler replied to Dr Gloom's topic in Newcastle Forum
I’d be putting him in ahead of Wilson, rather than Murphy like. -
That's fucking mint! 🤣🤣
-
I was reading a book about that case, one of the few books I've ever abandoned as the details of his murders were utterly sickening, "slow" murder by oxyacetylene cutting gear ffs. Horrific.
-
I'm with Renton and Fish on this. It was dreadful.
-
Jump in there early doors on Monday with a £30m bid I reckon
-
70m euros they want for him. We paid less than that for Isak.
-
Joao Pedro at Brighton up for sale after a fight at the training ground. We were interested before he went there. Sounds like the scrap was his fault so he might be a prick. They also want mad money. Wouldn’t touch him with someone else’s personally but expect to see links soon

it's not what i'd pick if trippier, joe and isak fail fitness tests but it's what i think howe will. i'd play gordon or osula at CF ahead of wilson, and possibly miley instead of willock. i do think we revert to 4-3-3 though and that would mean either krafth at right back or burn at left back -

I hope to Christ we don't end up with that starting XI. -
Equally aesthetically questionable tbh
-
Je ne sais quoi tbh

Agree with this, but I'm also of the view that with decent management he'd be a stunning player. Which begs the question - how the hell did Pereira get anywhere near a Manager of the Season nomination?! You play Cunha under the leadership of someone like Howe and I think you'd get the very best out of him. Under Amorim? No chance.
-
Well on the evidence of this season I think am going to disagree with you there…said it before; 15-20 points behind Liverpool with potential champions league next season . We absolutely do need that player. We needed him in the second half on Sunday iyam…
-
We do definitely need someone with that je ne sais pas, but I think we could get that from within our squad. Isak, Barnes, Bruno, Gordon, Tonali all have the ability to pull something out their arse to slice through a low block. Having a talented young attacking option from the bench would be great, but I don't think Cunha would put the shift in to start in what is at it's heart a team centered upon hard work and intensity.

As we're talking about star wars, Chilean TV, to avoid cutting to TV breaks inserted beer adverts into the star wars films when shown on Chilean TV, it's outstanding and you'll end up singing 'cristal!' if you get to end of this clip, the mental bastards. Obi wan a proper alky getting young Luke on the blooter.

He's a talented player, but I think he needs guidance to get the best out of him. I don't think he'll get that at Old Trafford.
-
Not sure if Eddie would go for him but to break down the teams that come and sit in at St James we need someone of his often brilliant level
-
Interesting, I thought he might actually be a good buy for them. I suppose it's telling that no other teams seemed to be in for him though.
-
I would be gutted if they took this guy off their roster mind I swear they only keep him around for comic relief.

Cunha to Manchester United makes absolute sense to me. He's exactly the kind of player that Manchester United chase; looks flashy, has some renown, ego the size of Brazil. He doesn't solve their problems whatsoever. They need a reliable striker, physicality and control in midfield, quality at fullback, pace and quality at CB and reliability in goal. What they don't need is a mercurial creativity. They have that from Garnacho, Fernandez, Amad? He'll sign for them, play well for a bit, then become increasingly peripheral until he's farmed out on loan to Betis or wherever. Yup, this is a quintessential Manchester United signing.

Haven't you got your latest Android buzz-toy to re-flash or something?

That's a wholly acceptable rhetoric when you're in opposition, but the minute you walk into Number 10 you need to bin off that practice else your tenure is going to be very short indeed. Perhaps the Southport incident and ensuing civil unrest so early into his government took his eye off the ball and he's playing catchup ever since, but it's no excuse in reality. Taking GB News as a sole media channel to an event is hard to forgive for me. It's not about the broadcaster chosen per se, it's the control of the media as a whole I'm uncomfortable with - it wouldn't have mattered who he'd chosen - the mere fact he's being selective convinces me he's trying to drive support.

Tomorrow's headlines today: HAYTON BREAKS 18 MONTH SILENCE ON GAZA
-
I've repeatedly said I'll hold my tongue on my feelings about what is going on in the middle east, but 18 months on, it's increasingly difficult to do so. Hamas may be recognised as a terrorist organisation by many nations, including the UK and they did fire the first shots in this episode on 7th October 2023, but the response since from Israel has been ridiculously disproportionate. They're viewing Hamas and Palestine as one of the same - they're not! And there's been far too many 'incidents' where the Israelis are claiming an error of judgement on their part. The most prominent one of that was the incident with the Palestinian Red Crescent where unbeknown to the Israeli forces, it was being recorded and proved beyond doubt they were talking a load of shit. It's nothing short of Genocide IMO. And the west has, until now, largely stood by and watch it happen. It's disgusting.
