Reckon Gyokeres is more likely than Watkins. When Man U wanted to win the title they signed Van Persie, Ollie Watkins isn't firing a team to a league title.

Keith Hackett stoking up the argument about appointing such an inexperienced referee and calling out Michael Oliver being the VAR selection for Tottenham v Brighton and saying that instead, he should have been refereeing at OT. Has he clean forgotten Oliver is a Newcastle fan and therefore wouldn't have been eligible due to conflict of interest? This whole 'he's not experienced enough' arguement is fucking pathetic. He's got his refereeing licence so he's met the threshold to referee that match. And how else do they expect they're going to get experienced if they never give them a big game? Jesus titty Christ!

Watkins is definitely more Arsenal's level/budget than Isak.

Just watched the Man Utd / Aston Villa highlights for the first time. Concerning the biggest talking point it was absolutely a legitimate goal. The ruling around it is vague and needs clarifying but if that's a foul we might as well all give up on it ever being a contact sport again. That said, Villa were absolutely dog shit all game. The reason they finished outside of the CL places wasn't because of one decision - they got precisely what they deserved in that game - fuck all. We were awful on Sunday, but so were they and so too were Forest. In light of that, the way the table finished up was in line with what it should be. I think the meltdown has to be driven by PSR concerns and knowing they'll lose players this summer. Rogers is the one I'd be most interested in, absolute quality, that kid and would link up brilliantly with Isak. Imagine their reaction if not only did we get 'their' CL place but we also took their prized asset Watkins to Arsenal is being spoken about quite freely down this way as well.

Sometimes this place doesn't half feel like a nursing home.

Mine too. She had a knitting machine briefly, knocked out one each for me and my brother.

My mum knitted mine, shops sold patterns for them, it was mint, my mates all wanted her to do one for them đ Be her Glasgow roots, I'm not buying you something I can make cheaper and better (and she did).

I absolutely loved Strarsky and Hutch. The fucking opening credits, man. Absolutely epic Iâve just watched that about 6 times
-
I didnât. They hadnât filtered through to the jumble sales I was largely clothed by back then tbh we werenât particularly âpoorâ, we just had a a very frugal and canny Mancunian motherâŚalthough this wasnât unusual, most of the other mothers in our street could be seen at them too. They didnât seem to be a thing in Scotland after we moved thereâŚ

None of what these clubs get away with would be possible without the spineless representatives of the other 8 to 10 clubs that help them get this stuff voted through. Maybe this can be a turning point though, cos they've all seen in the starkest terms what can actually happen to one of these clubs if they spend really badly, cos they've all finished above Man United this season. There should be a reduced incentive across the board to voting to help them spend their way back out of the mess.

They'll no doubt pull a similar trick to what Chelsea have done post-Abramovich. Find ways of being able to generate cash. It reeks and does nothing to dispel the notion the PL look favourably on those at their top table. I heard a suggestion the other day that the PL arselick those six as they're paranoid the breakaway Super League will still happen. Chelsea getting CL is the one that got away IMO - it'd have been wonderful to see both them and Man Utd squirming.

It worked with their covid tour write off, so no doubt that there'd be a dodge found for them.

We gave Villa +3 last month but still scored 10 more and conceded fewer overall. I fuckin love that particular stat
