The tottenham fanatics I know (and there are a lot down here where I live) think he is shite. He had an average first season but has been shocking this season apparently. He has looked ropey when I've seen him as well. Only time will tell if it's a good sale or not considering the fact that we could have sold a 'form' player rather than a good player.

I'd agree with that if I hadn't seem him play for Spurs. It will be interesting to see where he moves in the Summer and whether he can regain his form. Re: bad apple. I'm pretty sure his name was mentioned in one of the talk ins. Might have been bollocks though as Shearer said he wanted to build around him.

On a side note, Bassong has been absolutely dreadful for Tottenham. Perhaps he was just having a good run of form? I'd have him back in a shot like. The move was a bit early for him imo. I'd hang onto Taylor too fwiw. And he's been very good in the last couple of matches. I'd love him to prove me wrong. Wasnt he one of the rotten apples? He was great for us for 3/4 season but has been shite for Spurs for 2 years. Its easy to have a good run of form (or look good in a shit team) but barring that period for us I dont think he has done much in his career. Didnt we sign him from a relegated French League club that he could barely get a game for? Great sale in my opinion. And hindsight.
