  1. If you've ever been pissed and heard 'Big river' its amazing how sentimental you get!
  2. "Margaret Bloody Thatcher, ad had it up t 'ere with a' hahaha "What do you expect to find up there, like? A new striker for Newcastle Utd?"
  3. Oz "Ah bollocks!!" (Although he doesn't actually say it in this clip, sorry!)
  4. They played there in the eighties as well when Jock Stien died of a heart attack he had in the dugout.
  5. Well the second best win of the season was Villa because we owed the boring cunts a hiding and didn't they get just that. Record put straight and back to the non-entities they are to us. Forest was a good win as it was a time we might have felt the pressure but we stuck at it and Shola turned the game by coming on as a sub and hitting one of those early shots in the bottom corner which he is capable of doing and Jose putting the icing on the cake with a very popular goal amongst his team-mates never mind us, judging by the celebrations! (Plus, always nice beating the scabs and they were a bit classless in their home win against us which I was at). Liverpool was a good one as we owed them too and seeing they're fans reactions afterwards made it doubly entertaining.
  6. He's a totally different player to Beckham. Beckham was never as technically gifted as Totti. Yet Totti would never work as hard as Beckham did. The formation Roma peaked with a few years ago with Totti as the main striker was a work of genius. Every time I've ever saw him for either Roma or Italy he's looked pretty average to put it mildly, then again, I don't get to see Roma that much. I compared him to Beckham as they were both the 'Goldenball's' of their countries.
  7. On a similar note to Del Piero, the most overated player I've seen and heard good things about must surely be Totti of Roma and Italy. I think he's their Beckham but not quite as good as the half decent Beckham once was.
  8. I've had a bad run up to Christmas through laziness and other 'problems'. A bit of a washout is expected, just hope my girls are ok with their stuff.
  9. Hmmm. Bit un-ladylike tbh. Vodka & diet coke? Wine? I've just scoffed a load of chocolates if that helps. .....Whilst watching Victoria Wood?
  10. I don't want to cause offence to anyone, but I really can't stand the bongy-eyed little cockney cunt. I don't and can't believe a word this self promoting goon comes out with. Also, love how he gets his name mentioned and gets interviewed about his time with us, it was a couple of years ago and he's disappeared off the radar ever since. Why doesn't he talk about little Wimbledon or the fucking Bridge? Just like big Sham and that arch cretin, Souness, they just can't let it go, can they?
  11. There's been some good posters mentioned, but Stevie mentioned something about noticing when people aren't on, well, on the other side of the coin you can tell what a difference it makes when you get Toonraider and the other female posters on, definitely livens the place up and usually for the better.
  12. I read it sometimes, people will say I'm obsessed mentioning it, I'm not. It just seems to me that on the football board there's one or two knowledgable people, and absolutely scores trying to out do each other with a piece of knowledge or angle on present things in football. Whereas on here especially talking about old times people bounce of each other more, more like a shared knowledge in each thread, like "ah aye i mind that now". With that in mind I give you a post from infrequent, (but excellent), poster Percy Street on another MB talking about 'cracking games'. That's the type of patter I like. Says more and makes you smile more in one paragraph than certain posters could do in a years worth of posts.
  13. Current = erm, err........fuck knows, Iniesta or Messi. Retired = Michael Laudrup or Zidane, probably the latter.
  14. Tinofbeans sounds more Geordie, that might help.
  15. Damned by faint praise, there, Fish! I don't post that much and it's usually nostalgia when I do so think I'm getting a sympathy vote by Stevie. Some of the older posters (30+) would get my own vote, Fist, Stevie for the generalising of other fans is superb, NJS and others I can't think of off the top of my head.
  16. I posted my real name earlier...Patersaldo... but my TT name is err....Paddildo A pedalo with 'special' seats for the ladies?
  17. Sounds like a Geordie Boxer Whereas the first one sounds like an Brummie sex aid!
  18. Good thread Real name = Daldo! Toontastic name = Heymeca
  19. I've got so many memories of Sunderland from working there. Everyone to a man smokes, the women are generally vile, and the blokes common as fuck. I don't like to generalise but it's such a noticable difference from our great toon on the banks of the Tyne. Some people are suited by going there, If I was to die today, and my life flashed before me, my abiding memory of Sunderland (apart from shaggin a mackem for a while), was being in the bookies beside Sunderland train station about 2001, and this woman probably about 32 (she looked 40) but that's the standard crack in Sunderland they all look old, she had her bare arms exposed, arms which were thicker than my considerable thighs, with a huge 1990's Sunderland badge where your BCG should be shouting "WHERES MEA FOOOKKIN TABS SOME CUNTS TAKEN A ROIT LIBER-TEA EAR LOIK", and this bloke came in looking as rough as her "LEA-SA A COULD EAR NEE-ULLY ON FAWASUTT STR-EA-T AV GOT YA FOOKIN TABS EAR TAYUK A CHEEL PEEL", fuckin what a bunch of bamps. Fuck that, you just keep on generalising, Stevie! (Even though you don't like doing it)
  20. Eh? So what's she cooking and where's the fucking recipe, then?
  21. Did you manage 15 wanks in a day? No, mate, just the ramblings of a pissed twat!
  22. Where are you from ASM? Had always assumed you were lurcal...? There's going to be hell on now it's known that you're OOT. Sounds as though he's got the chance of a leg ower with a boiler.
  23. Strange mood. Toss up between slightly smug and slightly depressing.
