  1. No, maybe. Arsenal have the beating of Hull and I'm sick of watching cup finals and thinking 'if only'.
  2. They were some bad days but we only averaged under twenty thousand once around Tommy's time and that was 16,000 who saw us floundering mid table under Jim Smith the season after we lost the play offs. Pleased for Wright, one of the good lads.
  3. No story just a class pic from the 1976 League cup final.
  4. Err, I mean, unlucky mate. (I've moved departments and my new 'bait room' has shit connectivity so I'm in the same boat as you apart from the fact I binned the 12 hour nightshifts a few months ago.)
  5. Do a double shift when it's raining. You'll get more customers. Haven't ran for about three weeks as I've been bad, might try today even though I haven't totally shaken it off yet.
  6. Every time I see a headline where 'Boko Harum' is mentioned this comes to mind...........
  7. It could explain our confidence of getting signings. No fucker else is after our targets.
  8. Please let Michael Owen be the next bankrupt player.
  9. Think of excuses not to do anything. It wont help either but you won't feel as bad.
  10. Write/phone/harangue journalists asking them if they're providing the readership with the appropriate coverage? Tell their editor you'll not buy their title and go elsewhere.
  11. Do fuck all and moan on here, renew your ticket.
  12. Ring up Sky and cancel your sports subscription if you have one. When asked for a reason say you're a Newcastle United fan, Mike Ashley is making us un-competitive and you wont pay sky to pay our club/regime.
  13. A half empty stadium for our league games would be a start. (Completely empty even better).
  14. The FA can also read between the lines. They should be warned of the consequences of fielding reserve players as should all of the clubs.
  15. Write to your local MP telling them that NUFC are an integral part of our community and for them to draft a bill/ask a question in the house of parliament about businessmen riding roughshod over their local community.
  16. Write to the FA showing them the clubs statement asking them to charge the club with bringing the game into disrepute.
  17. The Daily Mail seems to the only national to have picked up on it unless I've missed others?
  18. Goodbye Luuk De Jong Though I never knew you at all You had no grace, I pissed myself On the field you barely crawled You crawled out of the tunnel And Pardew whispered into your brain He put you on the treadmill And he tried to change your game And it seems to me you played for NUFC Like a Giraffe with trapped wind Never knowing who to pass to When a tackle came in And I would have liked to have signed you But I was just a kidding Your career burned out long before Lee Charnley made a bid Leading NUFC's line was tough The toughest role you ever played Lee Ryder created a superstar And pain was the price you paid Even when you left Oh the press still hounded you Only good thing that Pardew said Was your pleasant attitude And it seems to me you played for NUFC Like a Giraffe with trapped wind Never knowing who to pass to When a tackle came in And I would have liked to have signed you But I was just a kidding Your career burned out long before Lee Charnley made a bid Goodbye Luuk De Jong From the young man in the 22nd row Who sees you as something as more Rob McDonald More than just our loan Dutch Striker
  19. Parliament is an option to put pressure on him. Canvass your MP's and other MP's. Pretty sure there's a lot of stuff into the governance of football already out there and if enough supporters reminded them and lobbied to get representation, for football clubs to be classed as part of the community then that could be a way forward.
  20. I think the figures are from January's renewals.
  21. Good luck, NJS. Sounds like it could be a blessing, I think I'd be the same if it it happened to me as I'm definitely needing a total change of not just workplace but work environment. Hope it works out for you.
  22. We don't live in a country where the media report on the game nationally, no, if this comment about the cups came out of White Hart Lane, The Etihad, Stamford Bridge, The Emirates or heaven forbid, Old Trafford and Anfield you'd never hear the end of it. Very strange in a way as it's an easy story to cover with no digging around required on their part. The media needs to up it's game too.
