  1. Have to say I'm buzzing for this, it's been too long since I've been to an away derby. (obviously got the pre-derby nerves but think we can and will put these fuckers in their place).
  2. Why is it not worth bothering with? Shepherd rightly got stick for charging stuff to NUFC like warehouses that weren't needed (certainly at the price charged), why the fuck should this bloke get off with a shrug of the shoulders? This is the club who shut down parts of the ground to save money, the club that add a £1 for every away ticket, a club that switched off the escalators in their prestige entrance to save money, the club where Directors of football, (well that's his title, anyway), write (allegedly himself) that we can't compete with Spurs we're that poor, the Manager says our pockets are empty, our last Chairman said we have to wipe our own nose. Why are we giving away free advertising then? What if every advertising space, if truly unsold (Whey aye!) not go to something like the Sir Bob foundation? This bloke hasn't earned any trust or goodwill whatsoever to give him the benefit of any doubt for me. You and some others might not think it's worth the bother, I and others do. Might as well leave at that, to be honest.
  3. Take a good look at all the adults in that picture. Look again. They have all had sex.
  4. As a supporter of the club I'd say it's something to be concerned about especially with cry arses at NUFC claiming to be hard up.
  5. How much would a stadium sponsor be worth for a big PL club?
  6. How much? £1, £100? £100,000? We're a club moaning like fuck about not being able to compete yet I'm yet to be convinced we're making a determined effort to grow our 'brand'. Giving away free advertisng shouldn't be happening. That's no matter.
  7. I've heard the figure £8M-£10M per annum banded about.
  8. Hope it works out, CT. (The Wife had a bit PND after our second girl but she pulled round and is a normal fire breathing female dishing out mind warping comments on a regular basis).
  9. Sports Direct doing so well Mike Ashley cashing in on some shares. Still no payment from the company to NUFC for the copious advertising I take it?
  10. You claim to have a six year old daughter, our Techy said........ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMYK91KmQ6g
  11. Looks like I've got a ticket for my first visit to their new ground. Hope I remain unbeaten like I did for my four Roker Park visits. Fucking get in!!!! PaddockLad,
  12. Again agree with a lot of this. Regarding the highlighted bit, can you imagine an England manager thinking, fuck Rooney, Lampard, Beckham, whoever, I want my team to play a certain way and evolve this way and this big name just doesn't fit. Can you imagine the coverage it would get? Can you imagine the big players friends and agents not whispering sweet nothings to journalists etc? (Ok, get the hovis theme tune on).........As a kid I was a canny enough footballer as were a lot of my contemporaries, I know it's almost cliched but every fucker round our way would play football morning, noon and night. When the shit weather came in we'd just play in the street using gates for goals and yes, sometimes play with smaller balls even tennis balls at times. There was no plethora of pizza shops, no online gaming or any of that shit, more people got involved. Maybe it's rose tinted glasses but I'm guessing talent spotters had a larger choice to pick from? (You didn't see as many overweight kids either).
  13. I think I asked a question in this thread a while ago asking does anyone actually listen to others tastes/videos? I'll admit to being wrong because despite liking a couple of their songs this track had somehow completely passed me by. Absolute class and now is my 'what are you listening to?' track. I prefer this video for it .... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDrZ2Ln6aBE and I liked this one a good few years ago as well.....(song and video). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5AQOsz1zIQ
  14. Actually, joking aside, the team that controls their natural derby adrenaline will win it when teams are evenly balanced. Sunnalun became desperate to win these games and would either wilt or shoot their derby bolt early. Our attitude reeked in the 0-3. I expect us to be a lot more focused and professional this time especially as many of our players/staff/supporters have experience of getting the job done against the wretches.
  15. Playing with wingers, 4-4-2, whatever, isn't the coaching issue is it? That's the tactics employed by whatever manager. I think that's a separate issue that we maybe need to look at.
  16. The thing we've got to bare in mind is form goes out the window in derbies.
  17. Sky pundit for Real Madrid v Juventus......Dwight Yorke. Why? Do you have to be an ex-Liverpool, Man U or Arsenal player to get a gig with sky? (Carragher doing Man U with Souness and Rudolf Schmeichal).
  18. Probably easier to coach it out of them than coach something into them that nature didn't give them. I wonder what coaching Peter Beardsley, George Best, Pele, Maradona, Tino etc got?
  19. I'm inclined to go along with this. Coaching will only get you so far, if you're not a top notch footballer you're not going to become one because some guru in a tracksuit tells you to 'snatch the pebble from my hand' whilst calling you 'Grasshopper'. Good coaching will help but only to a small degree in my honest opinion.
