So no source then. Assuming for a moment that you are right then would you rather they were selling tickets or out breaking into houses and peddling drugs?
-
Yes but at the same time "professional" Touts tend to be drug dealers/burglars/fences - if you're happy financing the utter dregs of society than fair enough. Source?
-
I don't see any problem here, he has a spare ticket and is going to sell if for what it's worth, what's the big deal? The argument that really pisses me off is the 'I'm a huge fan but couldn't get a ticket' line. If you're that big a fan you'd be on Ticketmaster or down the local music shop as soon as they went on sale and for 95% of gigs you'd have no problem getting a ticket. Ticket touts simply take advantage of supply and demand, anyone who dislikes them is a commie. Fact.

I love the way he has to go to Australia for a 'second opinion', obviously there are no competent doctors in Europe.

The kids board would go into meltdown if it happened

I'm pretty sure Shearer is happy he didn't take the job given the lack of funds and interference from others. Had we been taken over by some oil-money multi-billionaire I reckon he would have been a lot more interested. Shearer isn't stupid and knows how to get the best for himself and was imo too afraid of failing to take the manager's job just yet. Edit: The same goes for Keane, he wouldn't have went near Sunderland unless he was guaranteed the money to take them forward and I'd say that this delay in him signing a new contract has a lot to do with the funds that will be made available to him. Why do you think Shearer turned down the chance to work alongside Keegan? Not wanting to play second fiddle maybe? If Keegan did really well then Shearer would be No.2 for a long time, if Keegan did badly then Shearer would be tainted by that failure. Not really much room for him there to win. -
Now if only they could get something similar for texts and internet messagboards.

I never thought Viana got a fair crack of the whip here. It's debatable as to whether he would've adapted to the Premiership but it would've been nice to see slightly more of someone who was rated the best youngster in Europe when we signed him. His fortune since might suggest that he didn't justify the hype.

Well done Danny, you're getting more bites than usual today.

Do you think that NUSC are representative of your views as a supporter?

One thing I think NUSC could do is to announce how they're going to canvass supporter opinion to make themselves representative of the fans. Or at least show us that they're looking into it. -

I've seen up to episode 4. Can someone please explain to me how some of the mosted wanted men in America can now suddenly walk the streets completely unnoticed - including turning up at a police event?
-
Maybe a player who does fuck all for 89 minutes and scores mightn't be such a bad idea right now.

Charlton to be taken over by Dubai investors?
ewerk replied to acrossthepond's topic in Newcastle Forum
Nice to see that at least one of Ashley, Wise and Jiminez was working hard on their trip to the Middle East - pity it was for another club. -
That sounds like there wasn't a pay off involved. It's probably too much to hope that Wise will fall on his sword in a similar way. I don't think this has anything to do with the sale of the club, him, Wise and Llabia know that they're out of a job as soon as a sale goes through so it's just a matter of whether they walk or are pushed.

The issue of voting is a major one for me. Given the talk of having people from all over the world showing an interest I don't think a traditional AGM / EGM system is fair. An online voting system for members only wouldn't be too difficult to develop and would allow a truely democratic view of fans' opinions on major issues, something Stevie doesn't appear to value too much.

We had what turned out to be 1,600, at a place where you couldn't get back home by train given the time, live on SKY at a time when there is a boycott on and people are waiting for Ashley to leave, during a run of five consequitive defeats. You fucking ugly Yorkshire miners strike, fuckin drinkin 10 pint beat up t'wife and kids Yorkshire bastard. It would've been criminal not to take 4,000 to Peterborough for you, on a Saturday, 1 hour away on the train, on the right line. Contrast that with our 5,000+ at Doncaster in the summer, for a pre season friendly. Leeds are a nothing club, never averaged over 40,000 in your history, never will, average gates of THIRTEEN THOUSAND in THREE seasons in living memory, you are grimy Rugby League town which lacks individuality and personality. Know your place you fuckin Yorkshire nobhead. No disrespect to the many Leeds born and based Toon fans on here. all im saying is we would of filled our allocation no matter what, not find a cop out that we 'couldn't get the train home on time' ... bull shit. we would have filled our allocation whether it was away at yeovil on a tuesday night in the jpt, or a t scum in the semi final of the fa cup. but thats leeds... wer not like other clubs. and again the reason why we have never averaged above 40,000 is because our stadium is capacity 40,000 soft lad. anyway whether you accept it or not leeds are a bigger club with the best fans in the country. on and off the pitch. FACT! i am now going to delete my account from this feeble forum and continue posting on the leeds equivalent. waccoe.co.uk which i might add has over 25,000 members, again showing our superiority. fell free to post anytime. see u guys at saint johns next year! ON ON ON Shouldn't you be in Rotherham?

Has there been any word on what the voting system will be? And what level of issues will be voted on?
-
Tbf I think it's just a threat to let Ashley know what the consequences could be, given that it's highly likely that he will have sold up by then. Hot air imo.
-
You obviously haven't seen Double Stuffed Vols. 1-13.
-
I think the fact that he still hasn't got a job may indicate that you're not the only one who feels like that.

FFS N'Zogbia! We may as well play Dwain Chambers if all running is all the Zog can offer.
