  1. Let's not dis the lad. We may think he's not good enough for us but let's not give him stick. I reckon he will struggle to get a game (unless the NUFC injury curse strikes again) but at least he wants to try and fight for a place. Good luck, Peter, you'll need it.
  2. The bastard who was driving the jeep at Glasgow airport is in hospital reciting poems and getting haggis and neaps for dinner. Apparently he's in the Burns unit!
  3. There's no hidden forums - you've been had. Hidden pictures of Leighton Baines in a toon top, yes, hidden forums, no.
  4. What do we need Bridge for isn't Baines signing? My mrs thought she saw him in Dobbies Garden Centre yest'day buying a water feature. Turned out to be Zinadine Zidane - stupid cow!
  5. Was it not Stuea (sp) Bucharest ?? I'm probably wrong, as the sands of time.....er....tend me to.....er...forget.......erm...what.... Ahhh, Wurthers Originals now you're talking
  6. I reckon Large Sam has been quite clever in his signings so far. He has bought/signed four medium-to-good-class players who will add much-needed strength to our squad. In signing the first four, it has cost NUFC about £1m nett (when taking the Parker money into consideration). That leaves NUFC around £10m to £20m (the usual close season money we have, not to mention any more that Ashley, I say Ashley, wants to add to the kitty) to spend on top quality players. These four signings that Large Sam has made has raised the profile of NUFC massively, and all prospective quality signings surely must be inclined to take any offer seriously with the thought of 'there is something really happening at Newcastle and do I want to be part of it'. Now, we're not going to get every player the large fella wants, but our profile must be something that is tempting. Because of our raised profile, I reckon a serious attempt at top-drawer players will be interesting, especially Wayne Bridge.

  8. Best keep it that way imo. The ones I have met are all a bunch of wastrels/tinkers/ne'er do wells. I much prefer the ones I haven't met
  9. I agree. If he suddenly decides he's up for a move he will probably end up at AC Meelan, Real or Inter (I would have done the Italian colour names for Inter/AC - azzurineri/rossineri or whatever these cool people like to call them Wankers.).
  10. A colleague once asked me if such a place exists North Tyneside - famed at last
  11. I hate terrorists. I wish I could emphasise how much I hate them. Every bit of me just detests these cowardly scum. What I hate the most is 'educated' terrorists. To a certain degree I can understand terrorists who are uneducated being suckered into 'the cause', but these 'educated' terrorists who seem to be able to carry out their dispicable acts whilst maintaining some sort rationalisation and reason for their cowardly murdering makes every sinew of my body want to retaliate. If it had been me that had brought that scum coward to the ground at Glasgow, the police would have had to drag me off him or I would have ripped his head off; believe me when I say I am sincere in every respect about that.
  12. Apparently Mr Keane (aka Keith Lard, the dog lover) got the hump over the time Nugent was taking So sunlun pull out of the deal to look important, rather than being told to fuck off by D.N.
  13. Can I just say that I thought it was canny good. Obviously I'm not as ;) as some of you, but the concert should be seen for what it was i.e. largely based on bands/singers that Diana liked. Let's not forget that it was a charidy event which raised a lot of money. I agree that Gervais was poor but to counter that, the Lloyd-Webber stuff was really good - especially Anastasia imo.
  14. Apologies if this has already been brought up. I went to the NUFC shop in Metty Centa yesterday to buy the above, only to be told that 'they're not doing one'. !!!!!!!!!! This fucking stinks imo. Apparently it's not NUFC's decision, but the company who makes them. People keep these things as a history of Newcastle United, and to have a gap one year - just because it was a shit seaon - is pretty rum if you ask me. Rant over.
  15. HEY! Anyone wanting a computer, just check out the bins at the training ground/squash club!
  16. Farewell the rest of you, unban me when he signs. Nobody is going to ban you, Stevie. Hang around and take the flak - if Sima can still come on here, with all the abuse he gets on a regular basis, you can take a bit of slagging for a couple of days. Divvent gan anywhere.
  17. I hope Torres is a massive flop tbh. Purely because we haven't signed him. Pennant was booed by the dippers wasn't he ?
  18. TRANSFER RUMOUR Leighton Baines' June transfer to Newcastle United was delayed yesterday after the player missed the train to Newcastle (a leading information source)
  19. That's quite refreshing to hear as I have experienced the complete opposite - persecution seems to be the general feeling. I hope your associates are rather more indicative of the nation's smokers than mine, so we wont have any great degree of moaning and whinging and challenging of the law when it's introduced. After all, when smokers realise why this law is actually being introduced they surely cannot be against it. Your smoking friends must appreciate why the law is being made, making them highly enlightened people - I congratulate them.
  20. he scored that mint hat-trick vs charlton though. And Alex Mathie scored one of the best goals ever in the Prem..... I rest my case, M'lud.
  21. Some of you folk are nothing but cynics. Sporty Spice (Mel C ? ) tells us that the reunion is a '..last goodbye.' And you thought it was all about $$$$$ Shame on you. btw, true reports in the press today about Mrs Beckham being bitten by a spider in America Let's hope the spider's okay.
  22. Smoking ban on July 1st or NUFC takeover; which is better in my eyes ?? Hmmm, probably the smoking ban. Thank fuck it's happening.
