  1. Not sure if serious - but surely we've no idea if it's a good/completely terrible prediction until the events actually happen?
  2. Really enjoyed Cornerstone and Mardy Bum there. One of the few bands still going from mid 2000s that's managed to remain interesting to me, looking forward to hearing how their next album sounds.
  3. Do you get any advantages for preordering either, other than the obvious knowing it's in stock for you? I.e like the fifa bonus packs?
  4. Carrick's still got a couple of decent seasons in him, don't think they'll be looking for a like for like replacement yet.
  5. Well I'm currently 360 and I've no complaints with my experiences this gen, I'll just wait a year and see what has the best games/any problems, not enough of a regular gamer to justify an upgrade and quite like the opportunity to pick up some of the big current gen games I've missed on the cheap. Picked up a Gamecube when Wii came out and really enjoyed just playing through the A star titles, may do the same with a PS3.
  6. Cheated slightly (knew bolton, thought possibly villa, googled to check) but no 17)=
  7. Well my brain is too frazzled on a Friday to think but I'll take the easy option of No 15)
  8. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjli3hj0ZkM Went to some place last weekend in Angel, wish I could remember the name, did a medley of Daft Punk Classics, with a remix of this being the personal highlight. Been overplaying it all week since.
  9. He's a good player, who could play a good part in their midfield, but that's it. He's not some world beater. Will they pay £15-20 million for that? I doubt it.
  10. No, no I'm not. Especially as I'm not sure how much of the 'just the facts' section are actually facts.
  11. So the big bad of that is I get to see adverts of things relevant and of possible interest to me rather than the same amount of adverts which aren't? And this is a bad thing?
  12. On an unrelated note, I saw Frank Skinner do a work in progress show recently in the Soho theatre - he was superb. Some really clever material and great interaction with the small room. Going to see Stewart Lee later in the year at Leicester Square Theatre - never seen him live - anyone here been?
  13. Kind of an odd request, but does anybody know what the song from the ch4 comedy gala advert is? Really bugging me.
  14. Did well at Blackburn too. Seems to struggle when he has money to spend basically, oddly enough.
  15. Hmm bit of a strange one though them being promoted largely because of a player who's no longer theirs.
  16. More difficult to referee than other sports due to the lack of technology as mentioned and the fact the game is so high paced and the fastest, trickiest players of the lot are constantly trying to fool you. Not convinced they're getting worse btw, not sure what that's based on.
  17. I've seen that recently, really decent acting for that genre. Hangover Part 3 - I loved the first 2, regardless of it being a regurgitation of the same plot I actually enjoyed the second one more I would say. The 3rd is still good if you enjoyed the first 2, but for me too much effort put into making it an 'action epic' rather than focusing on the film's main comedic gold supply - the quickfire convos between Alan and anyone else. Felt like something of an anti-climax towards the end too. Trying a bit too hard to force the sweetness at times also. Stew really got a bum deal with the lines too - can't remember anything particularly funny he got to say. Just the generic 'Are you fucking kidding me!?!?' style faces/outcrys.
  18. Have to say I'm suffering from some serious fan envy right about now. Imagine being born and raised in Munich, coming over for the final, winning the CL, likely a treble, and having one of the best nights out of your life lined up in London. And Guardiola's popping in next season to keep things interesting.
  19. 'I often wonder how the Nazi's managed to recruit so many hate filled monsters to carry out their horrible deeds. Then I look at any tabloid online comments section and realise 'Oh no, there's SWARMS of them'.' (from Frank Skinner's radio musings)
  20. Yeah it's certainly not less popular, just not reasonable financially for most under 25s to buy a season ticket. Could argue it may have the effect that some will feel less strongly bonded to the club. I've not lived in the area for a while now and go to a lot less games, you still care deeply but it doesn't quite feel the same.
