Worthy of a call to your bank, but I'd be inclined to ignore the email as spam, details or no. I would think that if there really was legitimately suspicious activity happening your bank would contact you immediately- maybe it's different policies but mine was on the phone with me within two hours of a load of debit transactions going thru my account. They aren't used to me just going shopping for a day with friends.

Hostels aren't exactly common but don't let that deter you. Putting dialect/accent's aside you speak the language. The best hol I ever had was by myself on the Channel Islands and then England briefly. Go and enjoy yourself.
