Been off all day, contemplating skiving for the weekend, off out for drinks and gambling later tonight once the lad's plane lands.

Aye it seems like life's been rough lately but thankfully my own has settled on a pretty even keel now. Alot of things have gone into perspective when I look at others and what they're going thru. A good friend of mine just fell apart at work last night- we knew she'd told her husband to leave and that she wanted a separation. What we didn't know until last night is that he'd taken their young children to New Hampshire and hidden them with family (his) and won't tell her where they are.

nah all quiet and boring here tonight, roll on the weekend I prefer sunday night Tv to saturday though. And im off work untill weds night ED: I recon I ramble more when ive not had a drink So much easier to understand tho LOL. I'll give a quick slap upside the head when my lads act up, but it's always after a verbal warning. Each has been raised to respect others and to mind themselves in an appropriate manner. If they choose to go against what they've been taught then they'll get a reminder.Simple as. No, I believe you're bang on, mainly close to New York, and Hartford. I didn't mean that Connecticut was exceptional to most of New England in that regard, but that in the US generally it would be a high percentage. I'm not particularly interested, but it's hard not to notice the Jewish population with an interest in US politics. Just the high concentration (Jesus Wept) of Jewish people in Connecticut. I don't know where you got your statistics for the Jewish percentile in CT vs other states but I would (somewhat)safely assume that other than maybe the western area of CT closest to NY would have a higher concentration, but not the state in general. I could very easily be wrong admittedly, but I don't think so. Not that it matters really...a person's religious preference isn't something that has a huge impact on me.

Why more so in Connecticut? I just found it shocking in general how much is lacking in his education now. For all that I do believe americans are ignorant of the world around them in general I really couldn't believe the curriculum he was being taught. It was so glossed over! War is a harsh thing no matter what but you'd have thought from what he had been taught that the Holocaust was nothing more than a playground spat between on kid who celebrates Christmas vs Hannuka. Even speaking with his teacher, the sheer scope of the purge wasn't even broached.

Educate them. Incidentally my eldest studied 20th century european history last year and not one thing was said about the Holocaust.
