Feeling in an Aussie rock mood (on account of a program I watched earlier featured 'She's a Genius' by Jet). Currently listening to (probably/possibly/ermmmm maybe) my favourite Jet track 'Cold Hard Bitch' - a live version of course.

Yeah, I can see where you're coming from. He'd be a direct swap for Guthrie though wouldn't he? Guthrie < McFadden is he not? I thought he played upfront. Have to confess to having seen very little of him last year for Birmingham though. Oh yeah...

Quick, matt! Check the room for hidden cameras in the lampshades etc. Happy Birthday

I wonder if that appearance clause is still in effect? Wasn't that why we stopped playing him? His form had suffered too IIRC, but the only way you regain form is to play EDIT: and he's got to be better than Ameobi Kevin can score more than Wor Foluwashola and he's a gimp. FYP! FYP

Is that the; "Dream Caused by the Flight of a Bee around a Pomegranate One Second Before Waking Up?" Truly surreal. Nice Dali reference. I spotted that too , whilst hearing 'Extreme's - Flight of the Wounded Bumblebee' in my head Used to have a huge print of 'Dream caused..' up in my room at Uni

A bloke I used to work with years ago raved about him when he was a toffee. Mind you, he'd have raved about my Grandma if she'd played for Everton. His cataclysmic implosion was funny when Rooney left for Man U IIRC

Klose! and I saw that one

That looked like it would have hurt...

Right, I swear to god, I am not leaving my seat until this match is over. Missed the 1st goal 'cos my bother rang about the Slash gig tonight and I went to get the tickets to check the doors time. Missed the 2nd goal because next doors kid kicked his ball into my garden and the little twat wanted it back. Missed the 3rd goal getting another beer from the fridge. I need a piss, but given my track record thus far, I'd probably miss the 4th so I'll just sit here and piss my pants

Hmm, YouTube has led me around a little tonight (and I'm supposed to be working). Anyway, I seem to be in a Slash mood at the minute (and I dont just mean tonight) - Listening to 'Its five o'clock somewhere' at the minute. Really looking forward to seeing him next month. Watched some of the stuff off his new album on YouTube and I think it's going to be a great gig. Myles doesn't have the depth of some of the best singers, but his range allows Slash to play some of the GnR stuff and it be done pretty well by the band.

I'm not one to bother with ringtones normally, but I've got a specific one in mind for a reason. And no fucking way am I buying a Mac and joining the Cult of Jobs. I think Chez has his Macboi goggles on there. The previously mentioned convert to m4a (within iTunes) rename to m4r (in explorer - not hidden) and drag back into itunes is correct and that's how I've done it, one to 4 occasions I've ever done it. Chez is correct in that syncing the ringtones via Tunes is the most painless (click on the ringtones tab on your iphone in itunes and tick the box). However, it all works totally pain-free on a PC too For the record I'm running iTunes 9.2 under Windows7. I think I last created a ringtone under 9.1 like, but it's not the point.

I can't argue with you that there should be a more intuitive way of doing it and it should be included in the OS. I think part of it is down to the licensing restrictions Apple are bound by for iTunes and the Store. Never heard of the problem with purchased music, but I know there are certain restrictions on them, so it doesn't surprise me. A fudge workaround for removing said restrictions is to burn the content to cd and then re-import. The mp3's are then exactly the same as stuff you've ripped etc. Again, not ideal; but for whatever reasons, Apple do tend to hamstring users over certain things which is irritating/frustrating to say the least.

Really?, takes me about 30secs using iTunes (if I'm being particular about which part of the song I want to make into a ringtone). Clicky for instructions

One of them did that with me when i was in Cardiff a few weeks back, "hey man awesome t-shirt, John Bonham's awesome man!" actually stopped so I could shut him up "it's an AC/DC shirt and that's Angus Young, whose not only alive but not in Led Zeppelin." Quality

Was listening to Slash's new album in the office and it just carried onto 'Aint life grand' from Snakepit. Not heard it for ages so this afternoon became Slash-fest. Shine is quality. Loving the dirty Wah!

I was watching the Germany - Ghana game and noticed how well the Germans pass the ball. They might be a young team, but we really need to get a grip of the midfield or I fear they'll just pass it round us. We need to sort our shape and our tactics and run at them. They are more methodical, a bit like Germany of old but I think we are a bit quicker.

Mine downloads for about half an hour, gets about a quarter of the way then gives me some crap about a network error 3253. Not really too sure what to do Its probably just the sheer volume of people trying to get the update making the file unavailable. Apple servers getting hammered at the minute.

Really? What did you have? Admittedly, mine doesnt drive as nice as the BMW but I wouldnt say it was awful. It drives surprisingly well considering its size imo and still manages to drive like a car. The 1.6 petrol is apparently woefully underpowered, as is the 90bhp 1.6 diesel (I made sure I got the 110bhp version) so if you had either of those - then I can understand your comments. Performance aside, what I really like about it is the practicality for kids. In hindsight, I'd have gone for the 2.0 and paid the extra tax (£150 over £90 for mine).
