Consistency is a problem for probably 75% of PL clubs. Of the remaining 25%, being consistently shit is a problem for all but one of them.

I was in Sports Direct the other day and the lass was friendly, attentive and helpful. I have flown with Ryanair, who, that day, were on a mission to nab as many people as possible for having a hand luggage bag that touched the sides of their measurer. £40 a pop. Thankfully didn't get me, but there's no way I would ever consider flying with them. Abysmal company who lack any sort of integrity.

He's spent years of his career playing off the last man, receiving early passes and beating the offside trap by small margins. Standing offside is a deliberate ploy, it's a mind game with the defender who doesn't know whether to drop deep or hold his line. All it takes is Cisse to make the move back onside and turn, and he's got the edge. There are two main problems though. One is that we don't appear to be playing to his strengths, meaning he ends up making run after run in vain, and the other is that he isn't having much luck when it comes to sticking the ball away. It's a cliche, but it's true - it's all about confidence. He needs a one on one, and a confident finish into the bottom corner. That would sort him out I reckon.

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
BigWalrus replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
Read the comments under the article. Pretty much every single one of them has fallen for the headline, hook, line and sinker. All Pardew says is "tired legs and bruised bodies". It reminds me of when Alan Oliver used to twist every story about Laurent Robert, in some ridiculous pursuit to try to force him out of the club....until Robert brilliantly started on Alan Oliver.- 10610 replies

The Secret Diary of Lee Ryder (aged 44 and a half)
BigWalrus replied to Craig's topic in Newcastle Forum
Even if the gates dropped 10k, it would barely register. The big money is in the TV rights and as long as we're in the PL that will keep rolling in. The natives might be getting sick of it, but the foreign markets are lapping it up with glee. Blame Sky. -

To be fair, the average football fan doesn't appreciate the physical exertion required to get through 90 minutes, never mind extra time too.- 10610 replies

Not defending it, but I bet getting a driving licence and insurance is not commonplace in the Ivory Coast. Probably thought absolutely nowt of getting a dodgy Belgian licence whilst he was in Holland. I wonder if the club ever provide any advice / lessons on adapting to the regulations and rules here. Certainly I imagine what is normal in the likes of Senegal and the Ivory Coast is quite a bit different from here.

Tiote was our best player today and our best player last weekend. If the challenge on Altidore by Tiote was a foul, then Fletcher jumping on Dummett was also a foul. Sour grapes mebbies, but the ref got it wrong there.

Moving ball for their free kick leading to the goal. Should have been retaken.

Nervously looking forward to this, which feels wrong. Usually I hate the derby build up.

I've sat watching that image for half an hour now, and he is yet to breath out. Some skill.

Off topic I know, but do you genuinely think Busquets is the best defensive midfielder in the world? I honestly don't rate him in the slightest.
-
Ben Arfa having three players on him is a massive, massive plus point. It means he doesn't need to do anything and he's already creating space for the other midfielders. If he was left alone by the opposition and still didn't bother them, then I'd be considering dropping him.

Steven Taylor is apparently out with a hamstring injury. Just waiting for it to be officially confirmed, but don't be surprised if Dummett and Williamson line up in the middle of defence.
-
All of Arsenal's goals yesterday were brilliant to watch. Wilshere's was pretty much impossible to defend against.
-
My stat was about Tiote alone, not the entire team.
-
82 passes attempted, 75 of which found a team mate.
-
Yep, Tiote was great today. 92% pass completion, which is impressive considering how often he was on the ball. http://www.whoscored.com/Matches/720046/LiveStatistics/England-Premier-League-2013-2014-Newcastle-United-Liverpool

Was at the match so thankfully missed the BT shite. A new channel and a chance to do it differently, but it sounds like the Liverpool media mafia has its grip already. Tiote was an absolute beast today. His presence brings the best out of Cabaye too. Like most, I thought it was game over when the red card came out, but the midfield worked their knackers off. Solid performance, regardless of the result (lets face it, we could easily have conceded a third in the last 10 minutes).

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team

At present, we are one of 15 lads in the queue for the slag in the bathroom. Meanwhile, the top 5 are all taking turns at the fit one, but ultimately they're still touching tips. The cups appear to be blind luck. It's equivalent to the mam of the house party host getting in pissed and choosing you for a quick blow job in the downstairs bog. The only problem is that Mike Ashley is the house party host and he is reluctant to receive oral pleasure from his own mother.- 10610 replies

If Cabaye is the honest one here, why doesn't he tell it?
