It's just wrong. You've got the likes of PSG and Monaco buying success, and the likes of Lyon and Marseille more or less earning it over the years. Montpellier and Lille showed how competitive Ligue 1 was. The rest of that league is so, so ordinary and it looks weird to have all these superstars playing against such poor opposition.

Would certainly not lead to a more attractive style of football. Besides - we need to add to the strikeforce we've got, not replace it. And Cisse > Carroll

I was just saying. Even emphasised the word 'might'. I enjoyed it myself but now do something i feel happier doing. it's a good job, good foot on the ladder (as Andrew knows), but not without its stresses, which is why I was sort of explaining why I left. Not something I would want to do for years and years.

Cool. I did that and later compliance testing and a couple of others things for Microsoft for a few years. QA/certification is, like you put it, at the bottom of the ladder but a great way to gain experience in the industry especially I guess if you want to go to work for a specific publisher (to start the whole process again of getting up the ladder). You... might find it gets tedious after a while and even makes you a little jaded about gaming. Or maybe that was just me. Don't work in that industry any more, but know plenty who do.

I'm stranely optimistic about our dealings this summer. The new TV deal plus the disastrous season we've just had will surely force Ashley to buy 2-3 'purples' especially if any leave. If this is the case it makes last summer even more frustrating - we were a significantly brighter prospect to new signings back then than we are now. We had Europe, a top 6 finish, a strong squad that we kept the spine of, and we looked like a club on the up. Not an elite level club challenging for the title, but a couple of brackets below that, at a level where we could be considered genuine top 4 challengers. What a waste.

I see poor Benfica have just thrown away ANOTHER trophy. So close to a treble and have lost the lot within a matter of days. All to late (80 mins+) goals I believe.
