  1. Done. It's an interesting issue, good luck with the study.
  2. Labour are locked in on this strategy now so I don't see the point in complaining anymore. I won't vote for them unless their manifesto convinces me that for all the damage they're currently enabling, they're actually going to be a net good via other factors. I have no real hope of that but we'll see where it goes. I'd be really interested in comparing New Labour's general political position with the one Starmer appears to be taking up. I'm tempted to say the latter would be on the right of the former, but that's just speculation for now.
  3. One of the elite Russian mercenary groups, Wagner, has driven tanks into a Russian city to try to hold the Russian MOD accountable for losses in Ukraine. It's starting to look like a coup.
  4. That interview is a little painful but nonetheless nice to see him involved
  5. Agreeing with yourself on this one mate.
  6. I think this is honestly where I am The hysteria would be incredible. And honestly pretty justifiable. But I don't really see what anyone can do about it and that would be amazing Mind you, I'd actually be fairly surprised if it actually happened.
  7. Justified on it costing too much then. What is it Labour are actually going to do, when they take office? Hearing a lot about what they're not going to do, precious little on what they are.
  8. Exactly so, and they've been clear about this from the outset. Whether because of FFP, or because they just don't want to spend a fuckton of money all at once, this isn't a project where the club just gets supercharged overnight. I still maintain that everything we've done so far, we could have been doing under any ambitious owner at all. And that is absolutely fine, we will end up with a better, stronger club as a consequence. One that has earned its place at the top, rather than just having bought everyone in the room straight out of the gate.
  9. Can you still see parsnip, and if so, what is the threshold for viewing it?
  10. Both meant to be vital components behinds the scenes though.
  11. It's not so much about his own disposition, more about the club he's joining.
  12. By year 3 the fans will have turned on him, and by years 4 and 5 he'll have fallen out of love with the game and will be contemplating taking up a new sport in line with standing tradition for UK born players in Madrid.
  13. Was apparently ok in his first season with Man U, they had a strong defensive record compared to the previous season - was under Ole. But aye, since then he's dropped off hugely for some reason or another.
  14. By coincidence I watched a Maguire lowlight reel the other days and he definitely sees himself as something of a 6 based on how this convo is defining things. All these marauding runs from the back (with no end product other than eventually falling over) and so on. He was apparently a midfielder initially though which explains why he fancies himself that way. Honestly though, and appreciating I've only seen the lowlights, he looks like someone we should be furiously avoiding... kicking teammates in the head, dragging teammates to the floor while they're trying to defend, dribbling the ball pointless in a circle in his own half for 10 seconds before hopelessly giving the ball away, appealing for handball against his own team... just no.
  15. Agree with this tbh, I feel like a 6 should at the very least be on the radar but Rice is the only one we've been linked to (that I know of) and we'll almost certainly not manage that.
  16. Aye mate, but you're overlooking that there are 'levels and ethics' in these things. Whatever the fuck that's meant to mean.
  17. In fairness to him, the scoring record keeps him remembered for longer. If he wins the La Liga most people would forget that in a year or two. If he overtakes Shearer then IMO he'd be somewhat relevant for maybe 3 years before Haaland goes past him
  18. Surely though, surely that is it for the giant spunktrumpet of a man. Off you fuck, preferably into the sun, you massive traitor to the country.
  19. At the risk of oversimplification, my view is that it's because we pander to stupidity.
  20. If anyone is struggling with this result a bit, get yourself over to RTG. They are fucking beside themselves. Moyes has just proven that their club was shit, and not him
  21. I like ASM as a player, he's fun to watch. If he's not right for the team then fair enough, I'll support whatever decision the club makes and will assume it was the right one. Reminds me a bit of Ben Arfa in both positives and negatives.
