  1. Yeah that's fair enough. I also think that given the rise of teams like Swansea its become difficult to argue that you can only create that attractive brand of football by investing heavily on foreign superstars. The Guardian ran something on this recently with respect of trying to work out where David Moyes places in this, and ultimately arguing that his lack of appreciation for the finer side of the game would be his undoing. I think they placed him around the same level as Pardew in being a halfway house between the respective styles of Pulis and Guardiola. Pardew sometimes has us passing it about better than I can remember seeing (or he did when Cabaye was here), but often reverts to the crap route one stuff under pressure.
  2. And you weren't at all tempted to run the quiz around the anus expanding device that can stretch you up to 4 inches...? That was a fucking scary article, mind.
  3. I shouldn't, I read the same article I also can't remember. Curious that of all of them, that's the one you chose though... EDIT - Cracked?
  4. I reckon it's some kind of mutually beneficial sexual aid.
  5. Fish has been here so long that he, alongside a few others, arguably *is* the forum mind you...
  6. Agreed, but he's not as negative as Pulis at least. Saying that, there's so much dross in the PL at the moment that arguably he is one of the top ten managers in the league...
  7. Howay's was a bit more coherent tbf. And yes, DC hasn't been around for a while Weird that.
  8. Nice one, it's nice to hear about happy families from time to time.
  9. I think the general consensus was that its origins had something to do with Russian porn.
  10. ...it's actually pretty worrying. I know it's been said but there's a really unhealthy obsession with both himself and this forum. EDIT - Although I confess it remains amusing.
  11. Surely that has to be some kind of a record though? Villa Park holds about 35k right? If 'a few' is less than 10, then it's like 20-25k people walking out. Many at half time. That's just embarrassing.

That is awesome She's a good fit for it though! The anime that is...not what you said. Although...
  13. Apparently there were only a few thousand Villa fans left before 90 mins expired...That must mean about 20k people left early.
  14. I think probably 0-1, although as has been said, we're defensively pretty good. We just can't score.
  15. Have to say, I think spending about £15-20m in the summer would have made us contenders for fifth, looking at how the season panned out... obviously not worth it from Ashley's standpoint though.
  16. It's just that the teams between us and Europa aren't actually that good...neither are we of course, but it's starting to look like a level playing field. I guess we'll know after Everton.
  17. So, I think Southampton winning today will be good for us, cos it might mean Spurs collapse a bit and we could potentially catch them. We have a game in hand over Southampton anyway, so their victory is recoverable. ...I'd love to be thinking this sort of thing as if it could actually happen.
  18. Louise Taylor is a charlatan, man. She's been banging on about Pardew's headbutt non-stop since it happened, presumably because there is nothing meaningful she can write about Sunderland and their exciting relegation campaign. Any excuse to unsettle us. She was also adamant that Pardew was going to get sacked earlier in the season, being informed by 'inside sources' etc etc, right before we started beating the Man Utds and Chelseas of the league. I find her insufferable, which is a shame cos the Guardian's analysis is generally pretty good.
  19. Probably because Cardiff are an irrelevance.. Fair play to him though
  20. Yep, Cardiff are gonna get relegated hard. Good riddance.
  21. I love the sarcasm. On the goal, I agree with respect of lobbing generally, but 50 yards man... I know you see them attempted quite often and 90% of the time they're off target (and so odds are that occasionally they have to go in), but even so, fair play to him.
  22. Rafael is a walking red card, it's bizarre - I'm sure he wasn't always like that. Not sure I agree on Rooney entirely though, I think his overall team play is actually a lot better than it used to be, he can be very unselfish. Have to say I don't watch them much though, but he played well against Olympiakos I thought - good team player.
