As far as I know all the money goes back to the NHS doesn't it?
-
I quite liked the bitch fight at the health farm. Trouble is to keep its shock value, it has to become more extreme, and is getting less funny as a result - witness the Sebastien sketch. The new characters were also disappointing, the accent of the thai bride was shite.

Bastards, I've kept meaning to watch this 30 days thing and kept forgetting. Has it been any good? 57541 Naah, not really. The first one, where Spurlock and his fiance had to live on minimum wage, was brilliant - more revealing than Super Size Me I thought. I was under the false impression that he would be doing all of them , but he hasn't. As a result its really no better than wife swap. You missed a lot of scenes of San Francisco yesterday though. Did you ever go to a bar called Daddy's?
-
Keeping on the San Francisco topic, today's 30 days (documentary series with Morgan Spurlock) is about a straight christian living with a gay man from the Castro district of San Francisco. Might be interesting.
-
Fuck off! 57442 Mincey mincey mincer. So during your time in the gay area, er i mean bay area, did you have a dabble with the brown paint? 57455 No I fucking didn't. 57506 Methinks the accountant doth protest too much!

Some truisms there like. My favourite, which is definitely true: MARRIAGE A woman marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesn't. A man marries a woman expecting that she won't change and she does.

I'm sure they sell international papers like Le Monde at the airport. Failing that the good old Guardian should do the trick in giving GF the image he desires. Cheaper than a book, and they have pictures too.

The optimistic viewpoint. The pessimistic viewpoint is Oh shit, we're doomed! The realistic viewpoint is somewhere nearer the pessimistic one I think - even Gemmill thinks we'll get gumped. My first trip to Stamford Bridge. Not only am I probably going to see a defeat, I'm paying nearly £50 for the privilege! Oh well you never know etc....

95-96? 56575 Before that - I think it was something like 1986/87. Remember that we won 3-1 and that it was one of those years in the 80s when we were absolute shite. 57153 From .com: 86/87: Won 3-1 Thomas 2, Beardsley 87/88: Drew 2-2 Goddard, Wharton 92/93: Lost 1-2 Lee (League Cup) 93/94: Lost 0-1 No scorer 94/95: Drew 1-1 Hottiger 95/96: Lost 0-1 No scorer 95/96: Drew 1-1 Ferdinand (FA Cup) 96/97: Drew 1-1 Shearer 97/98: Lost 0-1 No scorer 98/99: Drew 1-1 Andersson 99/00: Lost 0-1 No scorer 00/01: Lost 1-3 Bassedas 01/02: Drew 1-1 Acuna 01/02: Lost 0-1 No scorer (League Cup) 02/03: Lost 0-3 No scorer 03/04: Lost 0-5 No scorer 04/05: Lost 0-4 No scorer Oh dear.

Basically Rob is talking gibberish for some reason. Maybe he is wasted.
-
This has got to be one of the stupidest threads ever. Can anyone recommend a book to read? Well yes, literally hundreds.
-
Who? 57312 "that cafe was great and you'd often see Beardsley there" Wasted on here, I am, just wasted............... 57320 Your wasted are you? Should be ashamed at your age.
-
Who? 57312 I think Rob's lost his marbles tbh.
-
It was sorry changed it now. It was taken this time last year on my Samsung E700. The ice rink was mint, loads of fanny there too, they do things properly over there, not like a poxy, small rink at the Centre for Life! 57314 That is brilliant for a phone - it looks like a painting.
-
I think its OK, watch the first episode and decide if you want to continue - it doesn't get any better or worse really. It's been slammed in the reviews, but if you take it for what it is (a somewhat innacurate trashy historical drama) then its alright. There's plenty of heterosexual sex in it mind, which may be off-putting to certain overweight, ginger accountants, especially when there is a good mincing program on the other channel.
-
Money from pies is subject to severe fluctuation though. On a related note, I see they've shut down the cafe in the Milburn stand to be replaced by a shit sandwich shop on the SW corner. Bastards, that cafe was great and you'd often see Beardsley there.
-
Yeah, but short arses tend to be more vicious. At the right height to punch your bollocks too.
-
I find it hard to belive we make 6-8 million pounds on pies tbh. 57264 6.8 million revenue from catering per the latest financial results. 57272 So, we don't make £6-8million from pies then do we? 57274 No. But to be fair to Rob I think he's been vindicated by the fact that turnover from catering alone would cover our interest payments. 57276 Well, I assume most that money is from corporate catering, I'm not sure how they do the maths on these things. I'd buy the odd pie at half time were it not for the huge queues like. Ridiculous, you've got a choice of getting a pie and missing the match, or watching the match and going hungry.
-
Because they knew they's get the ratings from all the women who liked them and closet gays like yourself and Gemmill.

And you know this how ???? Ignorant twat 57182 The smell, mate. 57183 What about Turkish Baths though? 57190 A smokescreen. Or is it steam? 57191 A proper Turkish Bath is the best most envigorating clean you'll EVER have, followed by a proper shave - sheer bliss Pampering for blokes 57214 It's always struck me as a bit gay so I'm sure Gemmill would love it. 57234 Turkish Delights were always lush as a kid ( I mean the proper cadbury's ones, not the rubish you buy in Turkey). Bit sickly now though, and bloody tiny for the price, you can get a twix which is basically 2 in 1 for less. 57247 From a Newcastle player to twixes! While we're on the subject, I agree that real Turkish delights are rank, it pisses me off that anyone pretends otherwise. Give me Fry's any day.

Sod off, its more expensive! Also having cable means you don't need an unsightly dish like the rest of the plebs. Btw, I find tyne-side-jack's (since when was Tyneside hyphenated?) story a bit hard to believe. You need Telewest to connect you up for one thing. 57228 Telewest is shit man. FACT. Until they come out with something to genuinely rival Sky + (and I know they do have plans for this), they'll always be second choice. Sky's the daddy. Btw, "unsightly dish". So gay-sounding. 57230 Your probably right. I stay with them because of Blueyonder broadband though - its the dog's bollocks!

This country's seriously a rip off - I paid £3.20 for a pint of Stella in a normal pub in Edinburgh earlier this year. I'd love to go on holiday to the western isles of Scotland, but its actually cheaper to go to the Carribean. 57206 Places like Skye are beautiful but you're right, a week in the Western Isles would probably be the more than a week abroad. And it's harder to get there! 57207 Actually I might give Skye a go this year, I think the bridge is now free at least. Mull is absolutely stunning, and gives access to Iona and Staffa. However, the ferry over there is a complete rip off! 57212 Is Staffa the place with the basalt formations like Giant's Causeway? If so, I'd love to go. It looks amazing I've seen it on TV before. 57220 Yeah, it is. You need to get a small boat to take you there, and weather permitting (a big uncertainty), it will drop you off on Staffa and you can enter Fingal's cave. The wildlife is amazing too - whales, seals, every type of sea bird imaginable. Well worth it even though it is a complete bugger to get to.
