Trending on RTG today. What a time to be a mackem: Anger at fans leaving early. Litter on the breeze. Fulham fans are small time. No special friendship. Mitrovic, geordie tosser apparently. And ManU flag, for Diallo apparently.

I had an ST in the East stand best part of 10 years. It was great tbh. It's actually two tiered, well two concourses anyway, and was really easy to get food/drink in it. And as good view as the corporate opposite which costs thousands. Wish now I'd stayed there. As for the clientele, aye, there was no atmosphere but then that was a problem for the whole ground under Ashley. Who was it that said we could solve the light blocking problem with LT by making the stand out of pure glass? So how about a vertical two-tieredstand made out of pure glass (incuding the toilets)?

The land has been completely cleared so I think they have. It's a large enough but over two levels with a geet big Metro Station in the way.

It is hard to get a fair system but this is shambolic like. Honestly, sucked all the enjoyment out of what should be a joyous occasion for us. And this is before you factor in the transport/hotel chaos. Mrs Rents is more keen on this than me and is going to head in to Newcastle in person now, good luck to her, I can't be arsed at this stage. Our 10 year deal is also up this year so I dread to think what ST prices are going to be next year as well.

This is a fucking joke like. So apparently NOBODY was in tier 2 as you needed 25 loyalty points to by a CC away ticket, but I digress. Looks like I am not elligible to enter the ballot, because I was elligble to buy a ticket as tier 1. But using that option I couldn't buy one on my linked account which is tier 4, so its a single ticket or nothing which I don't want. And anyway, that option is closed now. But I can't join the ballot on the linked ticket either I don't think, as it is for a minor that does not have an account. Catch 22. Grossly unfair and will be affecting thousands of people with young children I would think, they've made it literally impossible to attend this match unless the kid had 25 loyalty points (pretty unlikely). I wanted to query this in the box office yesterday but the queue was too long, wish I had waited in it now as I'm not in Newcastle today. I expect to be on hold for the entire day.

Fair enough. Then we need to look at options to rotate the pitch again maybe?

Bewwwwww! Bewk him!

If you moved the whole block back all you would lose is a dodgy part of Leazes Park and a couple of tennis courts. Whilst we're in blue sky thinking mode, I've sometimes wondered if Leazes Terrace could be incorporated as part a megastand somehow. Thing is about Leazes Terrace, it is a beutiful Georgian building which asolutely needs to be preserved. But I've been in a couple of flats there, and they are dark and pokey. It's quite frustrating they are where they are. Obviously as well, extedning the long side of the pitch would be preferable to the ends.
-
Aesthetically that would look shit mind, even if it were possible. Listen, our owners are loaded, let's dismantle Leazes Terrrace brick by brick and relocate it in Jeddah.

Agreed. Also they have Tony fucking Mowbray as their manager, not some upcoming genius coach. Their best player is on loan from ManU. The weird delusion on the SMB though is quite something. Several posters seemed to genuinely believe that last nights game had earned them national respect and people will somehow now become lifelong MLFs after watching this. I know I am biased, but for me despite the scoreline, what I saw was a turgid affair, and it seems to have completely passed the mackems by they were not playing premiership opposition, with Fulham having made 9 changes for this fixture, and ultimately winning quite comfortably.
-
I find the litter in the breeze more interesting than the other rubbish on the pitch tbh. Reminds me of one of my favourite films, American Beauty.
-
3-1 Fulham. Bessies ManU also losing. Suicide watch on Weirdside tonight.
-
Fun fact that Mitrovic has never scored in the FA cup. Get him on. Couldn't think of a better place to break his duck.
-
"Those seats will be taken when Beyonce plays". BBC Magedia boys, taking the piss.
-
Err, no, they don't. That's mackems for you. Take this piss out of our (genuinely impressive) flag displays, then shamefully copy them, fail miserably, and kid themselves it looks good. Mackems.
-
Ha ha. And they're 1-0 down. Bewwwww!

Just watching the Sunderland game on BBC1 here. Fuck me, the contrast between the build up there and SJP last Tuesday is incredible. Mind, last Tuesday was the most intense atmosphere before a game I can remember in a long time, but you'd think the mackems would show a bit of enthusiasm considering they edge 1970 Brazil in the entertainment stakes. Instead their support is more flaccid than a Kraft cheese slice in an anorak jacket pocket.

Why is the football stadium so windy? Because of all the fans.
-
I wouldn't worry about it Billy, it's highly unlikely you'll end up in the same type of establishment CT would frequent. 👍
-
Well no (although you do need ID to vote now, but that's another rant), but it can stil be made a requirement in any private transaction. The issues for me is though it means I can't upgrade a child's ticket. At SJP concession tickets trigger an alarm at the turnstyle so presuming its the same at Wembley there is no way around this. They're not going ot let an adult in under a child's tariff.
-
Right. I've heard (about to go to the box office to check) that because of this (tickets are linked to STs) I can't upgrade my daughter's ticket to an adult ticket. Which is just great.
-
You're going to embarass yourself, aren't you? Is it true that tickets are not transferable and you will (in theory) need ID to get in the stadium?
-
Sorry, I just can't resist.
