  1. This actually makes me angry, this shit is having a real impact on peoples' lives. This country desperately needs to get a grip.
  2. Yes, the BBC are live streaming the coffin, as mentioned on previous page. That's my weekend entertainment sorted.
  3. Oh aye, and of course it won't mean bigger chocolate bars etc. Apparently you will still be able to get BOGOF deals on junk food, when was the last time you saw one of those?
  4. Have you noticed the lack of choice in crisps since Brexit? Can't get any of my favourites anywhere, some, like Brannigans, have ceased to exist. Saw a packet of pickled onion in the local newsagents yesterday so bought it, fucking 80 pence, ya fucker!
  5. I've not witnessed a single thing here that anything is different. It's definitely a Southern thing.
  6. Some crazy yanks too. One just said he never had a chance to meet the queen before, so maybe now he would get the chance. Errr....
  7. You're not allowed to bring any creature comforts like foldable chairs either. I hope it pisses down personally, but then I'm a cunt.
  8. Seems like a completely proportionate use of time and resources so people can catch a glimpse of a wooden box draped in canvas.
  9. Truss not making much of a bump according to this and I can't see people liking her any more the more they know of her. Today she is planning to scrap the governmants anti-obesity strategy, which cause the NHS even more problems in the future. Genius.
  10. Fair point, although I guess now the queen is not their boss in any sense. Will they be as willing to tell themselves this lie for Charles?
  11. This is satire apparently but I find it hard to disagree.
  12. They are. Like socialists they're also pathetic, and it's difficult to imagine how they could survive in the wild.
  13. Because its happening because of a massively overblown emotional response to an old lady dying? Btw, when people claim the royal family bring money into the country have they factored in all the indirect costs? Beside the direct cost of 6 billion quid to change monarch, the Queen's death is probably going to tip us inot a recession. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2022/sep/14/recession-threat-looms-as-uk-grinds-to-a-halt-to-mourn-queen
  14. Coming from a different viewpoint though, your grandma and grandda are worth every but as much as any of the royal family. The deification of the Queen is what gets me, I just can't get my head round it. Grief and mourning have to be personal things, to transfer it onto a stranger is vompletely alien to me. Like most, I can respect the Queen for fulfilling her role as she was supposed to. That respect does not extend to her son though. And I knew things would be bad when the queen died, but we're now on day 6 of almost constant BBC coverage and gaslighting whilst the country is in a dire place, and people are actually now being arrested for thought crimes. What a country we've become.
  15. Used to come in, make the beds, clean the kitchen, even do the dishes, every day. I'm not that keen on that level of fuss tbh.
  16. I'd love to see a square go between NATO and these fuckers. Ironically it's only the threat of nuclear warfare stopping it imo.
  17. There's people on that thread saying their pre-op cancer appointments have been cancelled. Jesus Christ, that is breathtaking. If that's true it needs to be on the news.
  18. Fucking insane. They're open every day normally including Christmas day, although (cos Brexit) you don't get any cleaners/maids during your stay any more. Presumably people will need to leave on Sunday 18th so as not to disrespect the Queen? So 2 days lost if a long stay, 1 night if a short weekend stay? I mean, JUST. GET . FUCKED. On a brighter note it's been confirmed I'm getting Monday off. Gawd Bless You Liz.
  19. Looking it up there they have some low yield gravity bombs, don't think they are much use in the theatre of war. Then again, I don't think any "tactical" weapons are. Iirc they used to have a suitcase or even brief case sized nuke, not sure they still have that though.
  20. China would definitely disassociate themselves from Russia in the event they used nuclear weapons of any kind. China's policy is only to use nuclear weapons in retaliation to a nuclear strike, no way would they support Russia in this. They'd be as scared of WW3 as the rest of us. NATO doesn't have any "tactical" nuclear weapons in its arsenal to retaliate in a like for like response. The risk of escalation to a strategic nuclear war would be huge. Militarily of course, no use of nuclear weapons makes any sense in a territorial war, as you irradiate the land you hope to capture and risk killing your own troops in the fall out. Putin's finished imo, gone before Truss.
