  1. Used to come in, make the beds, clean the kitchen, even do the dishes, every day. I'm not that keen on that level of fuss tbh.
  2. I'd love to see a square go between NATO and these fuckers. Ironically it's only the threat of nuclear warfare stopping it imo.
  3. There's people on that thread saying their pre-op cancer appointments have been cancelled. Jesus Christ, that is breathtaking. If that's true it needs to be on the news.
  4. Fucking insane. They're open every day normally including Christmas day, although (cos Brexit) you don't get any cleaners/maids during your stay any more. Presumably people will need to leave on Sunday 18th so as not to disrespect the Queen? So 2 days lost if a long stay, 1 night if a short weekend stay? I mean, JUST. GET . FUCKED. On a brighter note it's been confirmed I'm getting Monday off. Gawd Bless You Liz.
  5. Looking it up there they have some low yield gravity bombs, don't think they are much use in the theatre of war. Then again, I don't think any "tactical" weapons are. Iirc they used to have a suitcase or even brief case sized nuke, not sure they still have that though.
  6. China would definitely disassociate themselves from Russia in the event they used nuclear weapons of any kind. China's policy is only to use nuclear weapons in retaliation to a nuclear strike, no way would they support Russia in this. They'd be as scared of WW3 as the rest of us. NATO doesn't have any "tactical" nuclear weapons in its arsenal to retaliate in a like for like response. The risk of escalation to a strategic nuclear war would be huge. Militarily of course, no use of nuclear weapons makes any sense in a territorial war, as you irradiate the land you hope to capture and risk killing your own troops in the fall out. Putin's finished imo, gone before Truss.
  7. And this is canny funny. Absolutely fewmin. Oh wait, wrong place.
  8. Just checked and can see we now have an autumn edition. Each season of the year this thread gets more tragic. Tbh I had entirely missed the 20th anniversary of 9/11 because of the coverage of the Queen, I don't think it was even mentioned onthe BBC. But I'm a bit curious on whayt it's got to do with NUFC. Do they think it was masterminded by a 17 year old MBS? Talking of which, the same people's heads are going to be blown when they see this. There you go, the Queen is a paedophile supporting (actually we knew this already) terrorist sympathiser according to Mackem Logic TM
  9. Aye to Toonpack and Gemmill. The time to worry about nuclear weapons has passed now. Highly unlikely the chain of command would allow for them to be deployed, Russia would immediately lose support of CHina and everybody else. Much more likely for Putin to fall out of a window tbh.
  10. Think I'll make a point of being out and about whilst its on. If the weather is nice.
  11. Dunno yet but if we don't I am going into the office and will windmill the fuck out of it.
  12. Well that's thoroughly depressing. Anyone know how right wing is this Swedish party on the Farage scale? @Meenzer?
  13. It was on the radio. I need ambient noise, anything, when I do certain work tasks.
  14. Sturgeon now boring me shitless with her royal anecdotes. Apparently Prince Phillip once cooked a barbecue. Amazing.
  15. Can't tell what the kid said/did there but he was definitelty assaulted and his accosters look to have got off scot free. Love it how these forelock tuggers keep going on about the Queen bringing unity to this country. She didn't, it just transpires that people who disagree with these people are threatened with arrest and violence.
  16. Place is full of absolute raging gammons. There was one on there who was implying violence against anyone who dissented from the offical mourning stance. Ironic really this as weren't they on Olly's side whilst Newcastle was royalist?
  17. Think I may need to use my phone..... Edit: Oh my.
  18. Had on, you're not saying that is deviant are you? Edit: ffs, I actually had some how missed this. Any links. Erm, for my research.
  19. The focus of R5 today when I've listened to it was is it okay for Charles to still spout his opinions and lobby PMs like he has done in the past? Apparently the man is a visionary about environmental concerns, so he should retain his influence. FIrstly, is he fuck, he's an idiot who believes in homeopathy and all sorts of quackery. But secondly, what if he was a climate change denier or anti-vaxxer. Is it okay for him to use his influence then? Which is kind of the problem with inherited monarchs and a point the BBC seems to be completely oblivious to. ANd of course, unlike a president, it's a job for life.
  20. The BBC never will. The written press love to build them up to knock them down with the next scandal. Admitedly though, Charles is too old for shenanighans now and William strikes me as very straight laced.
  21. A nice start would be for King Charles to pay his inheritance tax due. He's exempt.
